Levels for Acts

Post by Elias De vere »

Hi,

I just started a new game as a barbarian, and i am in act 2 at lvl 14, just completed the 1st mission. I was wondering what levels do you ideally need to be at for the start of each act, and are there any good ideas for barbs, as i'm playing with using bash a lot and no points in warcries yet. is that a good idea. Thank you for the replies.

For most characters, level 18 is the ideal level for Act 2. And I'd really invest in some war cries or at least double swing for when you get to Act 3, otherwise you're gonna be screwed.

Depending on which build I play, I´m usually around lvl 14 when i start Act II, lvl 20-22 when I start Act III and lvl 25-26 when I start act IV.

How do you plan to build your Barb? Warcries are highly useful for any build, but Double Swing is useless unless you're going to make a Frenzybarb. It will also be easier if you decide which weapon he is going to use, since points Masteries make a big difference.

If you have already put points in bash try looking at the higher level skills and see if any of them receives a synergy from bash. That could possibly be a better route. Or you could go all bash and see what synergies make bash stronger.

I am far from an expert I just think the synergy thing is probably a good thing.

I'm probably going to go 2H weapon all the way, but i will invest in warcries for back-up, but i am thinking of possibly buying LoD and making a Druid as they seem quite cool.

I've always said that if one can make it into an act by their own accord then it's more than possible to continue. If you're dying a whole lot or just not killing things then it might be in your interests to fall back an act. Diablo seems to find an equilibrium where if a character isn't strong enough, they eventually will be.
