Alignment

Post by Rodo »

Oh no! I stopped being lawful good, while in Carceri (probably due to pickpocketing). Is there anyway for me to regain my lawful status? (I'm back at Sigil now)
I read somewhere that killing Ignus in the Fortress will do it, but I want it before!

There probably isn't any thing you can do in the short term, try the reekwind curse or some of the other quests that you might have passed by on your course.
I'd have to get drunk every night and talk about virility...And those Pink elephants I'd see.

Im afraid it might be already too late regain your old alignment. If you have already used the Tear of Salieru-Die (appears twice in the game), there is no real "benefit" in being lawful good, however.

That's just it
I didn't buy the one from the curousity shop before because I spent all my money on that Godsman dagger

Well there is Trias' sword as well IIRC, and it can be changed into whatever you want Hammer, Dagger or Axe :)

The problem with the Godsmen's weapons is that not only are they alignment-specific, but you can't change to another group and use 'em. If you eventually decide to become a Sensate, for instance, the Godsmen items will no longer work for you.

Why would I want to be a sensate? I already have access to the Sensate vaults, as well as the private sensorium (I 'remembered' that I was a sensate once, in a previous incarnation - the incarnation Deionarra fell for).
Besides, that Godsman dagger is awesome.

I didn't say that you'd want to become a Sensate (although you then have access to a private locker filled with stuff, some of it important, from a previous incarnation). I offered as an example changing to any other group, which loses you the ability to wield Godsmen weapons.

You can access your old locker without joining the Sensates just as well.

That's just what I did. That dodecahedron was easy.

I managed to fix my alignment before I set out for the Fortress of Regrets. All I had to do was refuse to give Coaxmetal the Modron Cube, meaning I rejected his path of entropy and chaos.
It did make him mad at me and would no longer speak to me, but I got all I needed from him.

Also, I finished the game! I can't help but feel I could have done it a lot better though.

Then I suggest you play again and follow a different path. These games have tremendous replay value and no 2 games are ever the same.

Cheers,

Of course.
Also, I don't think I'll be replaying this game. If you remember a previous post of mine (titled 'horrible cursed bug'), because of the problem presented in that post I restarted the game several times and it caused me to think of BG2 and doing Irenicus' dungeon over and over and over an over again. The repetitve begining spoils the whole thing for me.
