how does inn function?

hi can anyone tell me how does the inn functions cuz im really lost. i wanted to put some of my chars in the inn but im too dumb to figure it out so if anyone know the answer help me out thanks!

Just talk to the innkeeper. If you're in Eirulan, you'll find the innkeeper on the upper level of the inn.

In theory, you go to the inventory screen of your NPC and there's a button in the upper left to disband the NPC. If it's a pet "release into the wild" just deletes it, while "send to the inn" does just that. When you go to the inn, the innkeeper will ask you what you want to do, and you can select "recruit party members" to add NPCs from the inn back into your party. They keep the equipment/stash that they had when you sent them to the inn. I don't think there is a maximum number of inn characters, but I could be mistaken.

In practice, I was advised to make a couple mule pets to store stuff on and they got stuck in the inn so that I could no longer access them. Microsoft is working on my problem but I really have little hope that they fix it. Hope you don't have the same troubles if you try to do this.

It doesn't happen to everyone, the problem above. But due to this, and all other bugs, back up your saved games somewhere else to be sure and it should be fine. Oh, and do not disband your ice pet to the Inn first - meaning if you have one, and want to disband it, make sure there is someone in the Inn already. This is one of the things that triggers the afore mentioned bug.
