*Throws in that the Japanese one was censored, but is aish!teru*

If you really meant it a lot romantically, use "Koish!teru". I think it's Koi, anyway. :)

Oh yeah, sorry if you think my typing the Japanese love phrases with the "!" is avoiding the censor, I am not trying to, it's just that in Japanese, sh!teru does NOT mean poop...

You forgot the traditional Korean one...

"Me love you long time! You pay now! Five dolla! you pay now!"
:D

I think we all fully understand the principle of avoiding the censor to post a relevant comment. When someone avoids the filter to post something lewd or offensive to someone else, then there is a problem.

Does anyone need clarification on this issue?

Menja lublu tebja.
(only thing I can remember from my classes :p :D )

Er...I believe "Je t'aime" is "I like you" whereas "Je t'adore" is "I love you." That's about all I remember from my French classes, but I do remember it! :D

Yeah, it is Koi, and I'm pretty sure, though not certain, that they would be written(romanized) as "Koi sh!teru" and "Ai sh!teru" rather than "Koish!teru" and "Aish!teru" though it may not matter.

Though, if you're not careful, someone might think you were saying "I carp you" when you say "Koi sh!teru." ;)

Well IIRC it'd expect it to be the other way around :)
Je t'adoe = I adore you
Je t'aime = I love you
:) - but then again I'm rather intoxicated and maybe be wrong

Indeed, it doesn't matter. :)

Koi sh!teru is more like "I'm in love (with him/her)" or "I fancy him/her", whereas Ai sh!teru is "I love you".

Mind you, almost no one in Japan ever says either of them, except in letters, novels, TVs and movies.

LMAO - I believe that also applies to Singaporean too :D :D :D

@Minerva : Then how Japanese know if a man and woman were involved in this relation ?

I did some checking with a friend who speaks French.

"adorer" is "to love" and "aimer" is "to like."

My friend says that "je t'aime' is often commonly used as a casual way of saying "I love you," which isn't surprising to me, since "like" is used in English in place of "love" sometimes as well.
