There are many Newcomers to GB's SYM that are under the impression that GB's SYM is for any topic or non-topic that comes into their heads. They are correct.
GB'SYM is all about community and quality spam. It is a cultural meeting place, where we develop community: meet and make friends, develop ideas, share our art (comix, cartoons, music, etc.).
Despite the false impression being spread lately, it should not be considered a dumping ground for low quality spam, but a place for unique topics that can be found nowhere else. If you do not aspire to higher level here, you are on the wrong board.
There is a mandate here to be creative. The GB's SYM is poor choice for newcomers and users who come here specifically as fanboys/girls for particular topics found on other boards. Due to it's unique nature I encourage newcomers to this board to post topics until they are a regular on this board . Idiocy should be tolerated here. It should be noted that idiocy and a light-hearted sense of fun are different and if you cannot tell the difference, then, once again, you should not be posting here.
This mandate may and most likely will increase the number of posts to this board. This is a desirable result. The quality to quantity ratio of spam needs to be improved.
