I am running on Windows XP. I have the Automatic Updates, and have never had a problem before.

Today, I installed the updates (using "express install") and after rebooting the computer, I couldn't connect to the internet with either IE or Firefox.

I used the "System Restore" option, which is how I'm posting now.

BTW, I reproduced the problem already, and it's definitely part of this update.

How do I determine which part of the update it is (it says there are 4 updates), so that I can install the other 3 without an issue?

Did you by any chance install Service Pack 3 for XP?
Just the other day, actually, I needed to install the latest updates prior to downloading an Office Compatibility patch, and as it was about to begin installing Service Pack 3, I decided to cancel it and do some checking out on the net.
I'm glad I did, because I read several reports of it having crashed some systems, most notably XP Pro.

Just a thought anyway..

How would I find out?

Additionally: Now when I open Firefox, there's about an inch-high white bar that I can't get rid of at the bottom of any window I open up. It's very annoying, and strange as well.
