More suggestions
lightsaber damage or dropping lightsaber. if a dark jedi uses force push on you, i think you should end up dropping ur lightsaber. there hasnt been a star wars movie where a saber wasnt destroyed/damaged/dropped except ep 6 where i cant think of anything (ep1 obiwan vs maul. ep2 anakin in the droid factory and anakin vs dooku. ep3 windu vs sidious. ep4 nothing unless you consider vader killing obiwan and him dropping the saber. ep5 luke vs vader. ep6 again, cant think of anything). going along with this, if a saber of yours is destroyed, you can scavenge it for crystals/parts that may have survived the battle.
actual jumping wouldnt be too bad. force jump is only jump you can do except for the "jump" to hyperspeed.
more than 1 alternate weapon spot. having the ability to change between maybe 2 - 4 alternate setups. what if you have a single hilt out, and it's not best set up for droid fights? so you wanna take out ur ion damage double hilt. or what if you're fighting a dark jedi, and 1 weapon setup is meant for damage against droids, and your next is meant for stunning and of your 2 setups theres nothing thats + vs dark side?

Last list of suggestions for now
jedi robes have hoods that you can ACTUALLY put up. and while i'm on topic of armor, ONLY headgear can be "restricted: not useable by: wookies, etc" pissed me off that i couldnt equip baodur with jedi robes. what if i wanted him to have a red double hilt and remake darth maul (also, make zabrak faces more red and black the farther they go to the darkside)
manually activate and deactivate lightsaber. wanna walk around with your lightsaber on all the time? you should be able to i think. that lightsaber sound effect bugging you? well just turn the darn thing off then (of course, i guess you COULD just mute ur volume until lightsaber is off, but thats boring). if you have your lightsaber on even though you're not in combat and would regulary have your lightsaber off, it should be on and when you're standing in one spot and you have it at ur side angled slightly downwards. then to hold it upwards just press the button to flourish your saber.
SWIMMING!!! look at episodes 1-3 and 5. in ep1 we had obiwan and quigon follow jarajr. ep2 obi almost when swimming after his fight with jango. ep 3 when obiwan fell from being betrayed by the clones and ended in that little lake thing or w/e it was. ep 5 luke jumped off the x-wing and swam through the water on dagobah (nasty crap).
well that's all for now
lots of suggestions for you all to read so have a blast
Hi,
First of all, welcome back, though I don't really know you since I've signed up quite late.
I don't think that impossible, in my opinion. There are some open-ended games that have main characters that can speak, so I don't see how that's impossible to implement in the game. Anyway, I'm begining to get tired of seeing main characters as mutes in a couple of games that I've played most notably, Half Life 1 & 2, Doom 3 and other titles.
Oh, I never said it was right that they did it I'm just saying its understandable.
They could do stuff like that and just be very careful to never have to say your name. Or just during those paragraphs stop the speech but have them keep talking through the rest. They could do what I have suggested and create a voice composition but that's a lot of work. I mean something where you spell it the way you want and have it sounded out to be how you want it. I know there is a word for it but I can't remember what it is.

Bao-Dur: I think he wanted us to give up the Genreal to his poorly trained collection of bounty hunters.
Atton: Ah. well that would explain it. Which one do you want?
Bao-Dur: I'll take the stupid one who decided to threaten us rather than shoot us when he had the chance.

Too super..
This was brought up earlier. It was a common complaint that you (being Exile or Revan) are too super in the game. You shape worlds and stuff. I agree with this to an extent. Take a look at the movies for example. One Jedi didn't get very much done at all. They always had help going in different directions but always converging to attack the big bad. I mean a little pod is all Obi had and yet a JEDI get's - no STEALS (revan) - an entire ship for several people.
If we are going to shape worlds then make it in a way that will be noticed. I mean for a DS mission go and kill off an entire civilization of peoples. I know the being LS I would still go on a Jar-Jar hunting mission. Give the Binkses a reason to fear the Naboo.
I want to see Aldaeran (sp?) because I have often heard it called a great focus of the Force but we never go there. We hear about it but never actually see the massive city before it is destroyed, abandonned and then blown up.
I wouldn't mind if they had titles so they could do the main character talking thing. I mean call me Master Jedi in place of my name (because the common person wouldn't actually know my name) in order for me to be albe to talk.
Why were we always treated as Jedi even when we were obviously Sith. And why could we never tell people walking around that we were Jedi. They are always like: oh those jedi are gone what'll we do. I want to go and say "I'm a Jedi <censored>"
I think far too many of you people attempt to be traditional Sith and Jedi. How many true Sithers out there carry a Red lightsaber, and how many are double? I'm a Sith who carries a Blue single hilt. Mind you I always carry a blue single hilt. Its a close to white as you can get. You don't have to be all depressed looking to be evil.

not true for me. i often run the dark side with a blue single hilt. that doesnt mean to say that i dont use red or double hilts, because i do. but when i use double hilts its always red. hate yellow which is only other one that looks good as a double. everything besides yellow and red double-blade looks like crap.

I'm not saying you don't use blue. I didn't say you couldn't use blue. I'm just saying that a lot of people who say they play DS seem to be like Sith have to be always evil and always running around killing people, have to wear black, have tatoos and god forbit they have any other coloured lightsaber except Red.
I'm not saying that is everyone or that anyone thinks that way but it does seem to be the impression I get that a lot of people think of Sith.
In the KOTOR games so far Sith haven't been cunning. I mean in 1 they were everywhere and self-richeous because they had so many people. In 2 they were so few that when you saw them they were so clustered they were just silent and again over-hyped. I want to see silent, deadly and secret Sith that know they are Sith that hide and seek to subvert Jedi in their efforts. Not ones that you always know are Evil - Kreia - but just can't do anything about.

Well, if the game allows you to kill civilians at random, it will be more like a GTA version of Star Wars. I'd much prefer that the game does not allow you to randomly attack any non-hostile people except when you target them just like in Fable: The Lost Chapters.

Well, the Sith could learn a thing or two from Splinter Cell's Sam Fisher since he's very good at stealth kills and infiltration.
Anyway, about Siths becoming silent and deadly, I think that should be classified under a certain Sith class to differentiate themselves from the other more regular Siths, in my opinion.
I've got an idea here. They should have a notoriety system where if you create a lot of trouble at a certain planet/city, they will remember you and will thus look down and not respect you when you return to that city (including not trading with you when you enter shops). Wanted posters of your face will be posted all over the city and there will be a higher chance of the local law enforcement coming to attack you should they spot you. I got this idea from Fallout 2 and Hitman: Blood Money.
EDIT: Gave some erroneous information just now. Had to do some corrections.

''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price

Why does everyone want to see Revan and the Exile back? I mean yeah I understand that they're two of the coolest Jedi ever in star wars games but really KOTOR started with Revan and KOTOR II had a general of Revan's.....should the third one really follow the same generic "Find Revan Find Exile" story line? All I'd really like to see in III is some new lightsaber hilts, Robes like Revan's with the hood and mask and stuff, New story, New characters with some old ones added, More planet's, More side quests, and missions, More Lightsaber crystals both power and color, Bigger space battles....something like a few battleships and flagships etc.....rather than the normal 6 fighter ships, More LS/DS choice options....Like say I'm evil if I want to kill someone I can....If I'm good I want to be able to make whatever choice a LS person can.....give Neutral classes of their own and an ending for Neutral too, Rewards that I can actually use....not that "give me your force sensitives" in KOTOR II...If I earn something I want to be able to use it.....Keep the same turn based battle system don't change it(KOTOR wouldn't be the game it is with out it), More force powers, and If I make Jedi Master or Sith Lord as my class then I should be able to lead an army of my own(DS) or be on the council. Make the Story Line follow what alignment you are...if your DS your story is DS if LS then LS etc.....Make more places to visit on planets....I mean a planet with only one or two area's? come on thats not cool. Keep the INF stuff that was really cool. Make more Enemy Jedi in III because it seemed the only Jedi I fought in II was on Dxun and the last planet.....IF I'M GONNA BE HUNTED BY SITH OR JEDI LET ME BE HUNTED BY SITH OR JEDI WITH LIGHTSABERS!!!!!!!!!!!! also make jedi battles more often. I'll think of some more stuff later.
Fear is the emptiness inside your heart. Never underestimate the capablities of someone's actions towards you.
Robes that you can wear on your head would be cool, like if you wanna be evil like Anakin in episode III w/o losing the tan. More worlds is good, larger maps w/ less invisible walls/paths carved into solid stone. I'd like to be able to explore the galaxy that is Star Wars.
I have an idea concerning armies: lets say you conquer a world like you can in KOTOR II (Dxun) and you can receive all of the "force sensitives." Well in KOTOR II that doesn't do diddily squat, so I say in KOTOR III you can have your main party of...idk, 8? or so, and in addition you have separate parties on each world. For example, if this was put in KOTOR II, on Dxun you could have Atton, the handmaiden, or members of your own sith academy.
That could also lead to something having to do w/ masters/apprentices, which I also think should be involved, along w/ a good story line to explain why/how you have a master/apprentice, and how you lost them, or left them, or something to that effect.
Lightsabers: I'd like to get the color of Luke's first lightsaber; not blue, slightly brighter. You can get it w/ cheats for PC, but it would come out after every fade-out/fade-in.
The ability to turn on your party would be cool. KOTOR I kinda had it, although it ended rather quickly. If you could have personally gone back to Dantooine and wiped out the Jedi Academy, that would have been cool, further your decent into darkness. Or if you can JOIN the sith, not just become one. Join the master of darkness, and have the story continue, not end there, give you the chance to stay loyal like Darth Vader did until episode VI, or turn on him for good as Vader did at the end of VI, or turn on him to become Master of the sith, as Malak did.
Mainly I want the ability to have a master/apprentice, and I want the story to continue after you make your choice to be good/evil, for a long time, enough time to make that choice again. I know this will take a very long time to make, but hey, I'm not dying any time soon, so I'd like the next KOTOR I play to be good. As I've said before, this next one will make or break the series, and the option for Lucasarts to make a trilogy pack for these games.

Yes, it should. That story needs an end, and I think everyone here wants to know where is Revan and what is he actually doing there.

i agree. i for one want to know if revan has been putting up defencses against the "true sith" or if hes been having a mid life crisis and had to get away from his ball and chain. so yes. call me nosy but i really would like to know what revan and the exile have been up too

Ya where the heck did revan go? Talk about leaving us hanging. Better have a good reason for leaving (that should tie in w/ having a good storyline).
Oh, almost forgot, something that may help make the game better: actual Star Wars music. Doesn't have to have new music by Mr John Williams, although that would be best if they wanted new music, he's the king of making music, not just for Star Wars. But Star Wars music wouldn't be bad. And there's music from every episode that isn't crucial to the sotryline, although some are, like Battle of the Heroes, that's an obvious one. But the song the Duel of the Fates would be a good one because it was made to symbolize the battle of anger/hostility, where as the song for Ep III was made to be slightly sad, slightly mad (I'm paraphrasing from the "behind the scenes" here) and every KOTOR game has a battle of anger or aggression.
but ya, Star Wars music wouldn't hurt.

i agree. imo, music is what really brought, then ultimatly held, the whole star wars saga together. and as i do recall, there is music in both I and II. and even so you just dont get that warm tingly feeling from it.
you know what also would be cool is if they had actual current songs. by preasent day artists.
anyway, so yes. we NEED to know what revan and the exile have been doing together in the unkown regions all by themselves, and we MUST have up to par music.

I know there's music in I and II, but let's face it, it kinda sucks. Even the suspencefull music isn't as thrilling as any of the music in the movies. That's why I turn down the music in the game and pop in a CD from the originals. haha
Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.

i think id also like to have an option of the species and/or race of the next character... IF there is a next one...
i agree. i for one want to know if revan has been putting up defencses against the "true sith" or if hes been having a mid life crisis and had to get away from his ball and chain. so yes. call me nosy but i really would like to know what revan and the exile have been up too
Well I sorta agree.....but does the game really need to revolve around those two? Couldn't you just be a Jedi/Sith and do your own thing and still hear about what they are doing? If III's story line is anything like the last two I'm going to be majorly upset....don't get me wrong I would like to know about Revan and the Exile but I really don't want another 20 hour game(I say 20 hour cause that's my average game time) that's all about Revan and Exile.....It would be really cool if you were one of the Jedi that the Disciple trained or a sith on your own mission and you learn bits and bits about Revan and the Exile

Fear is the emptiness inside your heart. Never underestimate the capablities of someone's actions towards you.
