I can see you both have serious misconceptions about what a monk ought to be! Well, in short, I am a monk of another era. I brew beer, like the monks of olde, but I make every attempt to get filthy rich doing it.
And, I do in fact protect certain sacred texts in hopes of bringing out the Second Renaissance. But the texts are not biblical - indeed, not religious at all. Philosophical, actually.
Abstinance? Hmmmm. I'll get back to you on that one.
