How about incredibly handsome, suave, and - rich! Is THAT more like what you think a monk should be? :D Me too!

Sigh. :( Sadly, this monk only lives up to two of the three! ;)

I can see you both have serious misconceptions about what a monk ought to be! Well, in short, I am a monk of another era. I brew beer, like the monks of olde, but I make every attempt to get filthy rich doing it.

And, I do in fact protect certain sacred texts in hopes of bringing out the Second Renaissance. But the texts are not biblical - indeed, not religious at all. Philosophical, actually.

Abstinance? Hmmmm. I'll get back to you on that one.

Here ends the lesson.

Excellent, young man! May I buy you a Paulaner? It goes down much more smoothly than, uh, glass. :)

Apparently, you DO get to ask questions!

What IS monk-like? Hmmm. I live in a monastary. And, well - oh, nevermind. :o

Its not so much a chosen way of life as it is the fact that I am sitting in front of my computer on a Saturday night! :( Ah, well! The company here is pretty alright! ;) Though, this glass-eating ... :p
