You can also make oversized bead curtains out of them to hang in open doorways...they hurt a bit if you run through them, though

Adding to the list, I recommend using AOL CDs as:
-the scarecrow. Hang them around/over the field and they'll be quite effective to scare birds with shiny CDs.
-futuristic screen for your padded room. Joint CDs with wire like chains, then hang them in a frame (watched too much interior design TV

). You need to be patient to correct enough CDs, but it's not difficult considering AOL...

Sharpen the edge and turn them into CD-shurikens
You don't even have to sharpen them. I am self proclaimed ninja when armed with useless computer cd's. We've got big goggles and helmets at work and have occasional wars provided certain people are
missing from the work environment.
We've got a box with several thousand cd's and there are as many as eight of us who will participate in the antics. Nobody gets hurt too badly although it is a tad scary to take one in the neck/throat region. Everything sort of stops when someone gets nailed like that and we all look on waiting for their head to fall over backwards off their body. It's our own version of the quickening.

They are also fantastic for playing a game (which Ode may be interested in

) known as 'Boogly Shoes'.

Hey, Sleepy!
About the avatar, thanks. Yes, I drew it myself, part of a full figure.
And don't fear competition from me -- I was never "techy" enough to qualify for geekdom and too geeky to be cool. I don't know a dang thing about what's happening under the hood of those killer machines. Somebody else built them for me so I could work in 3D animation and video editing software. They work great for games, too!

Are you using it in NwN?
I think smass and Flibble are duking it out, they are unparralelled, even by Flanders and his knowledge of RAID.
That sounds a lot like me and cars, i know they can go forward and backwards with the occasional prompting from me, but generally i have no idea what is going on.
See, i can't have great excuses like that, i write HTML and you can basically do that on a 486, so i don't really have an excuse for a P4 2.53 with a GeFroce ti 4600...maybe i could move over to graphic design instead...then i would have an excuse for my Geekdom
