I think Vehemence is lurking around here somewhere too... although, of course, I wouldn't know... ;) :D

@Minerva, out of curiosity, how difficult did you find learning English? Were there certain aspects of it, as a native Japanese speaker, that were much harder/easier than others?

@Fezek, not really. The board automatically runs a background check on your entire life everytime you access its services. Once it's decided what level of access you deserve based upon your past deeds (including any which might drive you blind if regularly pursued), it accordingly censors your efforts.

If I were you, I'd do some desparate soul searching.

@Vehemence: I know you've been around. :D I just wanted to stress England bit for Sleepy. :p Hello to you, and others. :)

Learning English? Hmmm, let me think...

For me, reading was the most difficult part. I have no problem with newspapers, magazines or novels, but I need to read for my research, and that takes longer than I read in Japanese.

Also, it took more than a year living here to think in English. At the beginning, I translated into and from English (now, I'm only thinking in English, unless I talk about complecated Japanese things). Of course, the lack of vocabularly added to the problem. And, my pronunciation isn't quite English yet. I don't have "R" in my mouth, and "V" and "F" can be missed.

I should speak slower, really... :D

@Xandax - thanks for the links!

I got an idea but maybe not the whole picture. However, one thing that did concern me somewhat...

Other than for mocking moderators (and vulgar language!) is this what the SYM board was set up for? If not had we all better beware? :D

And to Gruntboy - I am glad you have settled down a little ;)
