He will be 41 in January...

A lot of our friends did the single stuff until late - 2 seater sports cars etc - that they have had to compromise after starting a family...

We had no two seater sporty models (apart from my motorbike) to compromise - just to look forward too...

Unfortunately his best mate from school has afforded his first (his kids are older and his mortgage shorter)

We cannot afford one for 18 months - if the policy pays out

- but he is desperately searching the web, garages etc etc, arranging test drives etc etc...

We are not stupid enough to get into debt for it but I really feel for him - especially as I will be driving it more than him

Dreams can be so desperate

He has 18 months to decide between the Rover MGF or the Toyota MR2 (my choice)

@ Ysh, the reason they can't see me at pubs is 'cos I'm 6'2" and most of the time my head is above the bar nearly at top part where people can't see it!
