I don't think so. Its usually just the banks (hence bank holiday) although I'm not even sure if they close anymore.

Its normally just an excuse for everybody to take their kids out shopping or just out for the day. Which is a bit of a nightmare if you decide to do the same.

What about you? Bank holiday over there?
