Psychologists always make sure they have good get-out clauses - we are almost as good as lawyers on this! :D Of course you can be my apprentice psycho, question is, -path or -logist? Or perhaps they are synonymous...just help me with cutting up Dottix at least once a week and we have a deal. :D

Heck, I'm doing just that in the Diplomacy right now. Of course, I will endeavour to beat the stuffing out of Dottirpes at least that often, maybe more if I see enough opportunities that you haven't already covered :D And I can always back you up...I can see myself now, mumbling "Yeah" and "You'd better, scumbag" after every 2000-word post filled with 10-syllable words :D

You are? Excellent - I haven't checked the thread for a long while, since it seemed sort of...stale ;)

Good enough, at least in combination with the Diplomacy :D You'd be very apt as a backup hitman...and I'd be happy to give you private classes in the art of psycho-logy/pathy. :D

It is stale...Robnark is POWMIA or something, so we don't have anyone who can collect our moves and publish them at certain times...I don't suppose you'd be willing to do it? It doesn't require too much effort, or indeed any knowledge of the game, and I bet Dottie would simply love it... :D

Ooh, now that sounds like fun ;) . Do I get to choose whether I'm a psychopath or a psychologist? Perhaps an evil combination of both... :D I'm sure there was a film about someone like that...probably starring Rutger Hauer :p

i heard that in sweden, education is free even for international students. Is that true?

For me, i always fail my math tests...but i managed to pass the "o" levels with a C in advanced math ...which is kinda like a shock.....
(pretty glad to have survived all the drilling hours of sitting in front of the 10 year series.)

Now i don't have exams but i have lots of projects and lots of research and lots of practical stuff.

@Kam: I don't think it would be a good idea if I collected the Diplomacy moves. Firstly, Dottilius would accuse of helping you and mistreating him, since I just posted my cheers for you in the thread, second you would have to wait extremly long times sometimes when I have a lot of work.

An fearsome combination of both -path and -logist is the best! :D All the means to control and manipulate, and no remorse or moral thoughts! Unbeatable! :D Nooo, not Hauer, I'd prefer Christian Bale

@Frogus: Look everybody, I think we just found Warf! :D

@Wiwimu: You are correct, education at all levels are free in Sweden as in all Scandinavia, Germany, Holland and some other countries. International students included.

I just had my TOEFL exam...

...last week as a requirement (*bummer! *) for gradschool...

... I think I did well and my unofficial CBT score is a round 280.

@wiwimu: I feel for you when it comes to Math :( . I used to love it until calculus came along...

@CE: free? That's great! :) Maybe I can take my PhD there on Ed Psych... But wait a minute... what's the "catch" in getting free ducation there?

There is no catch...unless you consider it a "catch" that it is tax funded. Doing a PhD here requires the student to have finacial support for the projects, this is the same for Swedish and foreign students and it is a regulation that was set a few years ago in order to avoid tax payer's money going to a salary for people who abuse the system by going year after year and lifting a salary for a PhD but never producing anything. Now, the PhD student and supervisor must be able to show the university a realistic funding plan. Some PhD programs and universities demand that the student learn some Swedish, but most do not I think (certainly not my university, we have by far the highest amount of international students, PhD:s and researchers in the country).

I loved all the math subjects like calculus, algebra, geometry, statistics, etc, all except one. The only math subject I hated, and hate is a word that isnt strong enough to describe my emotion, was the subject: Trigonometry. Trig is the devil! ;)

What!? Trigonometry was my favorite math subject! :D

@Mahar: Let's see who is there first - you to Sweden or I to Thailand! :) Should you consider studies in Sweden, by all means notify me, my old university (I have 2 educations, at 2 different unis) where I studied psychology, have international PhD programs in education.

... I'll inform you as soon as I'm done with my Master's... ... too bad they don't have an M.Ed in EdPsych here in Thailand. :( ... that is, with an English Program. ;)

Ed Psych interests me a lot... it also helps me become a better father.

@Tybs: I loved Trig and I love figures. ;)

Ack! Well that throws doubt on whether I want to go to Thailand in the near future or not.

I guess I would have to find some other poor country to terrorise up north. ;)

OK, my results are through. The fact that I'm here telling you about it probably shows that it's not terrible:

Chemistry: A
Ancient Greek: A
Latin: B
Maths: C

So almost what I was expecting, then, just a little bit better :D Also I'm a bit confused over why I only got a C in the Maths, so that might get raised to a B. AAB is definitely enough to get me into Bristol, though, so I'm very happy. Woo-hoo! :D :D :D :D :D

From recollection of my first three years, lectures and such were an occasional interruption to a large range of leisurely activities
