There is no catch...unless you consider it a "catch" that it is tax funded. Doing a PhD here requires the student to have finacial support for the projects, this is the same for Swedish and foreign students and it is a regulation that was set a few years ago in order to avoid tax payer's money going to a salary for people who abuse the system by going year after year and lifting a salary for a PhD but never producing anything. Now, the PhD student and supervisor must be able to show the university a realistic funding plan. Some PhD programs and universities demand that the student learn some Swedish, but most do not I think (certainly not my university, we have by far the highest amount of international students, PhD:s and researchers in the country).Originally posted by Maharlika

... too bad they don't have an M.Ed in EdPsych here in Thailand. ... that is, with an English Program. Also I'm a bit confused over why I only got a C in the Maths, so that might get raised to a B. AAB is definitely enough to get me into Bristol, though, so I'm very happy. Woo-hoo!
