Well, as per the recent news item, it seems unlikely that Bioware is developing KoTOR3 along any fashion. In the news item it mentions that Bioware is working on three titles, one being Dragon Age. Likewise, Jade Empire 2 has been, apparently, confirmed, and an unnamed FPS using the Unreal 3 engine. So - assuming this is all true - the Jade Empire engine rumors as applied to KOTOR3 seems unlikely. That, is, assuming KoTOR3 is not in some sort of very early pre-development stage, which I suppose is possible.
that original post was so long ago that i think it's safe to say that it isn't real even with the lack of proof. One thing I will say is that if you have ever seen or played jade empire the combat system does have similarities to the kotor combat system, but I don't think they would change it this late in the series.
And now jumping even further ahead in time, has there been anything confirmed as of now? my guess for a possible release date would be holiday season '06. or summer of the same year, i just hope they DO change the combat system the old wave lightning wave they all fall down trik is gegtting old or if ur light side flurry flury flurry boom you dead. I also hope as has been discussed in other threads they make it more realistic, but any way of that side bar i dont think we will see an anouncment for another month or two anda game fro another year or even two.. remember KOTOR2 sold because of KOTOR 1 I would not ahve bought it had i known wat nots about it in my opinion it sucked unless the completely remodel the whol frickin thing i wont, wait yes ill still buy it but i wont be happy about it.
If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him.

A wise man once said to me "The next person to fall for this stuff gets a face full of spam"
I have to tell you that anything that is released and there technically has been quite a few releases but none of them are real or are just confirming that there will be another game so don't belive anything you read on the internet unless released on the developer's site or on the lucas arts site.
oh by the way for all you gullables or people who hate this crap or people who have never seen a really fake person's post here's a good example
I'm here to clear up the facts and ease your mind...My uncle works for lucasarts as a director of sorts...yes they did infact lay off the kotor 3 team along with a few other small productions like a year ago...but and this is a big BUT...around the time episode 3 came out in theatres...the big man George Lucas himself decided on a radical restructioning of lucasarts and lucasfilm... what does this mean you ask....Simple the hiring of 200 more gaming programers... SO this means the 30 some people lost in the kotor 3 lay off have now been replaced by 200 game programmers, all part of what my uncle says is the future of lucas's company... he wants to focus more on gaming media because that is the future of his company from now on that the movies are done, with a small exception to the tv shows, most of his cash now will be from games such as gasp...."KOTOR 3" so rest easy and for the others check ur facts before posting old garbage...And the info I've specified about the 200 hirings etc can be found on any offical site etc like theforce.net etc is actually old news from like May so I'm suprised no one here seems to keep up but hey, tho I'd throw in my 2 cents for all those peeps worried...don't be, kotor 3 is in good hands..

Trolling is not acceptable behavior on the GameBanshee forums. The statement above is an example of trolling.
Anyone can claim to possess "inside knowledge." Unless the content of such information is verified by an official press release directly from the source - in this case, LucasArts - its veracity is as questionable as anything else posted here from various sources on the net. After all, other sources referred to here on the forum make identical claims to "inside knowledge." It's worthy of noting that most who do so acknowledge that. Unless you can cite an official press release to back up your particular claim, your information carries no more weight than anything else.

Gaming industries are usually extremely tight lipped about whatever they put onto the markets. they will tell you, sometimes, when they are working on a game, but other times they will say nothing to as what ends they are going to produce towards any games. At least, until they are dissuaded to do so by marketing.
So... anyone with the inside track either got it from a gaming site that has yet to be publicly announced to the masses... or they are going against certain binding legal contracts that stop them from saying anything other than what is approved to say. Yes, legal contracts, IIRC. These people are in to make millions, perhaps billions of dolllars... they will not squander the chance to milk the cow all the way.
Of course, the odd occurance where sometimes they leak stuff to family members, ect, leads to the game getting somewhat higher interest. Personally, I try to stay away from the economic benefits of gaming communities... the last time I tried to analyse it the results were so surprising I sometimes wonder if anyone in North America and Europe has money left.
But I do believe Chanak is the big cheese on the economy... I'll leave such things to him, as I am a mere novice.
(or I am again assuming too much from a person's sig...)
