To surf through a proxy in IE6.x
1. On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options, click the Connections tab, and then click LAN Settings.
2. Under Proxy server, click to select the Use a proxy server for your LAN check box.
3. In the Address box, type the IP address of the proxy server.
4. In the Port box, type the port number that is used by the proxy server for client connections (by default, 8080).
In Firefox:
1. On the Tools menu go to Options
2. Click on Connection Settings
3. Click the Manual Proxy Configuration radial button
4. Type the address in the address box and port number in the port box
There are lots of lists of free proxy servers, I personally use stay invisible, because that's the first one I found. You can cast a unique vote with each proxy. It might not work at times; if it doesn't change the proxy and try again
