Afternoon all. And I agree Mag, the Noob is pretty funny, it's one of the comics I read every day (even though it isn't updated daily).

Are you liking the job then?

Food sounds good right about now. I want pizza, but I...hmm....if UPS guy isn't here by 5pm, I'm walking to Guida's to get me some slices.

I do enjoy it, yes. All the female employees are attractive, too, which is nice. Ha, the one (female) manager said it's nice that there's "finally a cute cook; all the rest are ogres." It was funny.

I liked my jobs cooking, well...the cooking part. The rest made me want to do bad things to my managers. I've had that in every job though, most people who manage others don't know what it is their employees need to do to get something done.

The managers here actually work in the area they manage, is the thing. Like the kitchen manager works line, et cetera.

So they know what is going on with what they are to be managing? That is absolutely astounding given my work experiences. :speech: Wow. Very nice!

Oh and to your previous post....I have noticed many cooks are either huge guys, or they are mean, nasty tiny guys. Weird. The girls liked me at my cooking jobs, not because I was better looking than others, but I'd make them whatever they wanted, and I didn't ogle, drool and hit on all of them. Playful teasing on the other hand...I miss that. You'd be surprised what things inspire dirty thoughts and comments in a restaurant kitchen.

Night Juni! Have fun!

In their defense, most employees don't know what they need to do to get their job done either. You're just stuck in the middle where you know what to do but the managers treat you like everyone else (who don't). Managers are people too, well most of them are anyway.

The image that provokes...*shakes my head* Have fun. :p

@ Darzog, In my experiences, the managers never take the time to properly train me to react to the common situations one in my position will encounter. Then wonder why I end up with so many questions, or it takes me forever to do things. Without training, I need to figure it out on my own, and will likely screw up and cost the company money and time in doing so until I figure out how they want something done to their liking. Unfortunately, many people, in many jobs and careers are unsuited to their profession. Like most teachers I encountered.
