Who Would Make the BEST Moderator?

A completly un-biased opion must be formed, thus negating you to what SYM truly is at heart, a ravenous bunch of Yahoos voicing their opions!

Aegis- ya'll have strong opinions but so does everyone else. but I understand. you buys also engage in the most controversial(sp) topics in here and very seldom LOSE it. I could do it cuase i am pretty nuetral and i am on most everyday(lurking alot), but at work I wouln't have the mod abilities.

Buck- you have 4 choices for mods or you are going to assign 4? Can we get a multiple choice?

The individuals who came to mind for me, in no particular order, where Mr. Sleep, Georgi, Dragon Wench, T'lainya, and Fable. Of these, it would have been difficult to choose between Georgi and Fable. I have always found Fable to be thoughtful, articulate, and balanced in his views. However, I respect his reasons for declining the position. Given that, I would nominate Georgi because I think she is energetic, intelligent, level-headed, and possess a brilliant sense of humor.

Thanks, @Thantor. When offered the choice between moderating here or in SoA/ToB, I chose the latter. That way, I can watch from outside in the game area, but still take part in our SYM debates and silliness.

i know no one prolly cares about my little opinion but i think that no one here should have the job i know what all of you are thinkin im gonna ask for it myself ya i know u people well no i dont deserve it but technaly with everyone being more of a family member in a way we cant have a head of the family here in SYM i think that allt he big spammers and the little spammers need to stick together and stay equal

Oh, I'm sure there is someone somewhere who in someway cares somewhat about your opinion.

There does need to be a "head of the family" as you put it. Someone has to keep some semblence of order amongst the chaos.

It matters on how you look at it. With out any cops....crime would run rampade. Look at a mod as a friendly cop. Here to keep the peace. Before you say...what if he/she is a bad cop....well Buck will take care of that....he would be the judge.

Alas, Fable and CE would have been my first choices. Mr Sleep, I hardly know ye, but my clouded mind recalls no severe perturbations to the fabric of SYM. Aegis, though young chronologically, shows remarkable maturity. His spelling and punctuation seem correct as well. But 16 is still 16. Does DW have the time? Where is Waverly when you need him?

Opinionated people should not necessarily disqualify themselves from SYM moderation. If they are intelligent and empathetic, they should be trusted to divorce their opinions from the content of the SYM posts.

Therefore: Weasel! Force the crown on him whether he likes it or not!
