well WoW is the first and only MMORPG i've played so far and yes the "hell" is lurking there constantly.. i'm a fast typer aswell so i can basically type 3lines of text in the time so 9th grader is able to type:"AMAGAD, L2Play n00b!1!1!!!oneoneeleven"..
but there are situations like in raids where you need to communicate fastly(we do use Ventrilo but not everyone is on it) and i think the one's i use most are:"wth, smth, rly(not as o'rly), sb(somebody), u, instead of 'one'->1, ppl.. and stuff like that, thank for <insert deity here> there is no 1337 people in the guild or if there is they're in the closet..
Woo Hoo! Ranting! Wheeeeee!

heh, no but i meant that person nr1:"can someone help me" person nr2:"care" person nr1:"<edit-Xandax>" so it doesn't really end well ever..dj_venom wrote:Heh, that's when you go over to the shaman and help him out.![]()
I never worked in those games anyway, as I'd always avoid seduction of the abbreviations. I'd constantly get into fights with people, then just nitpick everything they said:
'Your an idiot'
'It's spelt you're'
'Wat a nerd'
'It's spelt what'
'Sori I don't care about speling'
'It's spelt sorry and spelling'
That will go on until the person leaves.![]()
hah well thankfully now that i'm in a high end guild with epics up to whazoo i never have to go on bloody PUG's(pick up groups->random ppl gathered from the server to raid a dungeon) because in those there are people who really don't either know about the game mechanics or just don't know how to speak english even in a slightly understandable way...
This one guy (paladin) kept aggroing mobs in scholomance and since i was grp leader i was forced to interveine on his actions because he nearly wiped us constantly, in the end i told him to do either he's told or he's out of the grp, answer:"<edit-Xandax> u noob i'm gonna report you to the GM's!!!" i told him to go right ahead->kicked him from group.. some minutes later he whispered, "I'm gonna report you now!!!" me:"so what were you planning to report? that i kicked you for not co-operating even the slightest, calling me names and behaving really badly?"... took few minutes->:"look man i'm sorry, i just got out of work from the hospital and it's really stressful job etc"...
i don't even wanna know if he was serious or what.. but thats basically the tip of the iceberg of the strange/juvenile players i've met in the game..
Edit: Abbrivations for profanity words aren't allowed either, as they are circumventing the filter. Xandax

For the purposes of this response, we shall split the post into the immature/MMORPG respone and the mature, normal response
LMAO!!!11!!1!shift+one!!111 u pwned that nooberz.
Okay, I can't do anymore than that, because just doing that makes me feel all dirty inside.
Oh yeah, they're all modern day saints, struggling under all their pressures. It's just like how the people selling you things all have 7 starving kids at home and they missed their last mortgage payment.
I've never associated with people who talk like that online, and the friends I have at school don't talk like that in messenger or anything, but since I'm near the age group, I've always wondered. Do the people actually talk like that in real life? Imagine going for a job interview, and the interviewer calls you a noob for not having a briefcase.

Thanks for the topic...being fairly new to the forum. I really appreciated the hellos I got from the elder members, and felt welcome to stay around and even post a few messages, the help I received from the various forums has been a real help, and the chuckles I've got from reading various post have been priceless...oh well its time to get back to my music and my gaming, living with 2 twenty somethings we now have 2 ps2's, an old xbox(which I've captured and have been playing Fable TLC for days now) the new 360 xbox,
four computers, 2 different handheld units, don't know what they are, the young ones play those and being a little older and eyesight what it is, I don't worry about those and a very old Nintendo in my closet...
the only problems are everybody wants my new computer because its a gem.
Well later guys.

The bible seen through the eyes of the average WoW player/10 year old :
And Jesus pointed towards the sky and said:
- I am 1337 h4xX00r!
John: - w00t!?
