It seldom does, here. So now it's up to you to pay for the welcome back party. We expect plenty of free drinks, lavish surroundings, and, of course, tandoor.

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
And where is the melodrama in that, pray?

There is none. That is part of my point.
However... following the quieter route also means less potential for awkwardness or embarrassment should you decide to return.
So how does deleting your account solve that? You're afraid you're gonna be tempted to come back?
Well, past experience shows he wouldn't be wrong...

Actually, each time I've been coming back has been to read up the stats on some weapons I left behind in BG2, so I can honestly say drifting off and just notifying someone you are is the best (since, well, I "left"). I mean, manhunts can bring up all sorts of truths. Magrus.
If you do end up leaving permanently, best of luck to you.
It depends, it might not be needed, if it's just this board.
In Magrus's case it was not only his absence here, but the fact he went completely incommunicado - no mail, no messenger, no other boards. That's something else from being out of SYM but still being known about.
When you disappeared you still answered mails from the occasional person from here no?

You didn't find anything interesting. Those files are private!
Well, then again...there's a whole hell of a lot of stuff on the net from those times I wasn't sleeping.

I think that drifting off and coming back every few months is better than causing much drama while exiting.
Also, that manhunt for Mag was not fun. I had to figure out if there was any way to get from the city to west-nowhere new york without a car (not an easy task). Luckily, it never came to that.

Hello Hello! I'm doing well, thanks for asking
. My life has just been very very hectic lately. I've moved out of NYC and back to my Vermont roots. I'm preparing for law school, which starts in a few weeks. I'm excited and very nervous. As you can imagine, leaving my job and New York has cut down on my spamming time.
How are you all? What's Chus all twisted up about?
