I'll post some more collages later tonight (I have an issue with the Edwin romance mod not working on my game, and waiting for someone to reply to that on the official mod forum *grr*), but for right now, I actually think:
Minsc: Still think Vin Diesel would be best. Mike Chiklis just looks too hardcore for Minsc. Minsc might be all muscle, but he's also the comic relief to the game, and we need someone who can say his lines and still keep a straight face.
Aerie: Believe it or not, I think that the one person whose natural face looks alot like Aerie is Tara Reed. Acting skills (or lack thereof) put aside, she has the same eyes, nose, and general face.Just give her some face paint and a permanently confused look and she's Aerie.
Edwin: Alan Rickman all the way! Besides the fact that Alan Rickman is SO hot, he also could be Edwin's twin from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and we know he can play the part, as he plays Snape in Harry Potter, who has almost the same personality as Edwin.
Nalia: Alyson Hannigan. I mean, it's her. They look so much alike it's scary.

I added Sophia Myles as a possible choice for Jahiera or Aerie, as she is one of the best actresses out there, young, and very beautiful. Sophia also is't a huge star, which means less dollars for more talent than some of the higher paid stars get. :) I would also suggest my all-time favorite sexy man ever, Shane Brolly for- well- anything. *Shirtless scenes preferred* :D

Looking Forward to Your Collages

Your last ones were great!!

Like the idea of Alan Rickman as Edwin. Still like Tim Curry too. that photo of him in your collage was unbelievable, made me wonder if the BG2 portrait person used that photo to do Edwin.

Alyson Hannigan is pretty good for Nalia. I know you don't like Drew B. but Nalia's portrait looks much more like her than Alyson though IMHO.

I think Dragon Wench was spot on with Jolene Blalock for Jaheira. Exact same facial structure and can definitely do Jaheira's attitude. If you are concerned about budget I imagine casting her would be the same (or less) as Sophia M.

I guess the question to ask at this point...is how realistic do we want to make this?
I mean, I don't want to burst any bubbles or anything... but let's be honest... the probability of a BG2 movie ever being made is close to nil ;)
Plus, as I said in the KOTR movie thread, game to movie adpations are not usually that great, and we all have our own visions on how a movie would look based on personal playing experiences. So it might be better to keep this in the realm of fantasy.

So, that being the case, since we are dreaming in the first place, why not just dream big, and assume we could get anyone we wanted for the various roles available? :D

Just my two cents anyway ;)

If movie productions only knew how large BG's fanbase was I am sure they would make it. And since the LotR type movies are very popular this day and age, I could see it happening. And with BG it wouldn't be a small budget (most movies made today get $250,000,000 starting)

I would put Colin Farrel in Edwin role because he's just as arrogant as Edwin himself in real life. Put a robe on him, add a beird, and his usual kind of speech and presto, there's Edwin Odesseiron, Red Wizard of Thay (thai?)

No, you're right, it's Thay. :)

Hmm... maybe we should make a request form for BG movie, if we could get enough names for it maybe the movie producers would get interested. After all it's a big fan base and there aren't really too much movies like these.
I wonder how they could make a dragon battle... :p

*thinks Masa has a good idea* I'd sign it, and I'm sure there are plenty of others who would too. Added a Bodhi collage to the site too. :) kravenlover - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Like the New Collage

Good group for Bodhi. Shannon Doughtery (sp?) would be really good. If you do one for Irenicus try to get a shot of David Warner as "Evil" in Time Bandits if you can.

@Luz,
very nice! I think that the actress to the immediate right of Bodhi (middle image in the column), would be perfect!

Sorry, I don't know her name. :o

She definitely looks closest. But as I too didn't know who she is, didn't have a frame of reference on voice or roles played to draw upon to picture her as Bodhi.

Luz,
Help us please. Who is she?

Erm, huh? Partially because I'm extraordinarily lazy and partially because it just didn't matter to me who's idea it was, I didn't bother to look. Sorry, I'll now as again: why do you think Ms. Disney Channel could play a bitchy, domineering, evil-goddess-worshipping drow cleric?
Jan- Verne Troyer (Mini-Me from Austin Powers). Jan isn't a murderous, foul-mouthed Mafioso so Pesci's out. ;)
Oh hell no... Danny DeVito was made for Jan! Mischievous, but charismatic. That would be grand ;)

Oooh that's great, I hadn't thought of him... Good call, he's perfect. :D :D

Good call with her, it's weird because I remember watching her when she played in the Casper movie 12 years ago... Now we're casting her as a sexpot vampire seductress.

You just answered yourself ;) And if you don't get that then because duff is hot and she probably has some acting skills.
David Warner as "Evil" in Time Bandits if you can.
Also get the picture of David when he played the interrogator on Star Trek, he seems quite good at evil roles ;)

Ok, I found the pictures but now my computer's acting funny. Oh well. I'll do it tomorrow. If we were to sign a petition, where exactly would we send it to in the end, as Black Isle went under?

Well if you didn't know it by now Baldur's Gate was developed by Bioware not Black Isle. ;)
