I don't care what people say about you in PMs, Vicsun. You're okay in my book.

2 years ago I first logged on, and I got into an internet war. It got to the point where (and I kid you not) my wife had a dead rat in a box delivered at our doorstep. This is as good as it gets, IMHO. The only reason why I got on the net in the first place, was out of neccessity. I probably wrote that wrong. I should have "gullible nimrod" stamped across my forehead.
To the point: What you learn from the harsh reality of the net is that you need mods. Not only that, but you need mods who knows their limitations. I lurked here for ages until I felt secure enough to start posting. I'm still not safe enough, but certain people here are such strong personalities that I'm willing to take the plunge. I need a reason to stay, and this place gives me that. I like to learn, and (sorry I'm name-checking) people like Random Thug, The Wench, Fable and Morlock, to name a few, give me a reason to return here.

That's part of it! The board is full of full blown geniuses!
I guess its just to do with the fact that most people are respectful, and tactful, because they know they will get the same back. And if they are not, they will be punished. And they will fail to cause any uproar whatsoever. They will be disregarded and ignored.
And of course, like fable said. We are all round amazing people
Mag: Don't remember much at all of last night do you?
Me: put simply.... No
Mag: From what I put together of your late night drunken ramblings? Vodka, 3 girls, and then we played tic-tac-toe and slapped each other around.

Game Banshee was actually the first internet forum I became involved in, and I immediately liked the bawdy, irreverent, yet sophisticated and mature, atmosphere. IMO, a blend like this, on a gaming-based forum of all places, is quite rare.
I have been very fortunate in my Internet experiences and GB has been a big part of that. Now I also mod/post at another site
I suspect, as others have already suggested, that Baldur's Gate Two (the game that drew so many of the early and later posters), along with the atmosphere Buck and his mods have created, has played a significant role in the ambiance of Game Banshee.
The game itself fosters communication and cooperation because it is party-based with well-developed NPCs. So, threads/questions at the SoA Forum have often extended beyond "Look at my Uber Party." Instead, we often see questions about completing NPC quests or the romances. I think that the very nature of these questions gives rise to a far more interactive and personalised community and sense of camaraderie.
Well to tell the "Weasel" truth, once Minerva fell for Waverly because of the Limp Link Incident, I had to find another beauty to spread my "Light" to.
Liar!
I didn't "fell" for Waverly, you just lost the battle.
Only thing I wanted was a good duel for everyone to watch and laugh, and I prepared for the battle with big bucket of popcorn and a bottle of coke. I couldn't even eat a half of it before you were dead cold!!
It was such a disappointment...
