I hope things do work out for Zimbabwe, we play them next I think. I'd like to see Australia maintain its perfect record and not forfeit their match.

Latif was almost charged for bringing the game into disrepute also. He stated that the tapes were doctored for his hearing  I can't believe Zimbabwe are still using their players as politcal pawns... :(

No thats not true, the Zim players did it in spite of their countries officials, the players might now be banned.

I meant the same thing, the Zimbabwe cricketing body had Olonga expelled as Osiris mentioned, no doubt due to pressure from someone like Mugabe. He is the patron head of the national cricketing council after all. ;)

Your a joke anti-doping people! -->this is not good. --Maharlika

@at99: Calling Pakistanis by that name is racist as I have been informed. You have been reminded by a fellow member to retract it -- but you havent. Giving you the benefit of the doubt for failing to do that, I'll do it myself.

Well, you've already managed to offend more than one member, so I suggest that you withdraw that comment, or be more careful on what you say. No race is a 'disgrace', so remove that please.

@osiris and at99...

As I said, please retract that term that you use for the Pakistanis.

@at99: This is going way too far. You wrote:

This is no excuse. I'll have this thread closed if such terms are continued.

Ironically if either one of you used the word Paki in the Uk, i will your parents my condolences that you died before your time. I am ok with it. But a fair warning, use Paki infront anybody else and you are liable to get severely beaten.

Yes we played horribly. Heck it if we get out quick i will give up watching cricket.

I dont mind really its ok. However many are not of the same opinion. Many of my friends in the UK will leave the table if you use such a word.

So i guess i am gonna have to nuke south africa. Such a shame i have some good friends there. :D

The issue is not of talent rather of political infighting. There have been numerous articles in the Pakistani press where there are groups and camps within the team. You have 7 former captains in the side, big egos and the like.

I am very happy that wasim, waqar and 5 others are retiring after the world cup. I am sad to see Anwar go.

Plybus i believe is the coach. He aint nothing compared to Miandad. Now that was a coach. You look at Youhana play you see a Miandad in the making. The stroke play, the foot work. It is beautiful.

The present team should have been:

1. Nazir - this guy blasted Walsh and Ambrose in the Windies.
2. Youhana
3. Inzi
4. Younis Khan
5. Saqi
6. Ahktar

These are the ones that should stay the rest need to be sacked.

In their place i would play Razzaq as a bowler and Azhar as a lower order batsman.
We need a leggie but no one standsout in the domestic order. Without wasim and waqar we are without our fearsome attack. We need some new bowlers, but Moh. Zahid is out bad back. I have no clue who would replace them

We need a new wickie as well, Moin and Latif at to the politics, and we need a new opener with Nazir.

1. Opener - Open
2. Nazir
3. Youhana
4. Inzi
5. Khan
6. Azhar
7. Wickie - Open
8. Razzaq
9. Saqi
10. Ahktar
11. Faster bowler - Open

5 Bowlers: 2 Fast, 2 Medium and a spinner
6 Batsmen:

I am not much of all-rounders unless they excell in one form or the other. Azhar is a good test batsman, as in he has his foot work and can get behind the ball and stuff.

at99,

As Maharlika pointed out, the term "Pakis" is a racial slur. Please do not use it again.

SYM-nannies?

The effort of the Pakistani cricket team against England was disgraceful. CM would seem to agree with his comments about blowing up the team. If you read the thread it is evident that comments about the Brits, Pakis, Ozzies, Dutch etc refer to their cricket teams and not the nations as a whole.

Let's not get too carried away with being "SYM-nannies".

Truth to be told, I never knew that such a term is a racial slur. It's when other members of this board inform me that such thing is such and they feel "uncomfy" about it then I'm duty bound to take the appropriate action.

What do you want to have me do? Ignore them? ;)

Luckily, CM is a very tolerant and understanding person but what about other Pakistanis who happen to read this forum?

Like I said, I'm just doing my job.

Nothing more.
Nothing less.
Nothing else.
