Early in the game when resources are low, wands can be pretty useful IMO...agree with you about the wand of MM though (its so slow too), I usually give one to a non missile capable character just for fun. The scorcher from the wand of fire is something that I use again and again...you can fire one and attack while the fire is still hurting your enemy or fire one and run around and scorch multiple enemies. Great with groups of undead such as mummies who hate fire.Originally posted by Jaesha
Useful? IMO the wands are absolutely crap! The only one I ever used was the wand of cloudkill.
Wand of magic missiles fires ONEmissile, can´t even kill a goblin!
A MM spell is tons better than most wands in the game!
BTW @kopywrite, is it possible to steal from a storekeeper without him seeing it, he always seems to find out whenever I do...
Potions of master thievery stack, each one adds 40% to a thiefs pick pocket skill -- I usually go for about 160%. Don't go higher that 250% as the skill wraps back to 1%. Jan Jansen has a pretty good PP skill to begin with (he has gloves that boost his skill IIRC) or you can get gloves of pick pocketing from one of the rooms in the Copper Coronet.
