Hey you know what at 6'5" and 230 pounds and only 17? If you worked outa dn if you were all muscle, a few more pounds and ud be a great linebacker for a football team! :) :D

Anyway, just work out and you'll do fine. Myself im 5'6" and 140, that may seem a little hefty but its all muscle (not meaning to brag, its just that my tough track workouts make me rather large). Besides the ladies love a tall dark muscular man!

@Sleep, where was that report about excerising in the morning? Does that mean my morning 5 miles is not good?
It's pretty easy, I mean just go kill a dragon, get laid.

"I never thought it would end like this,
just because I got no ****,
I'll shave my legs and wear a bra,
I'll even cut my p**** off for you."

Now that's a love poem if I ever heard one.

I didn't catch the entire story, i could look it up on Sky News or the BBC but apparently new research has concluded that working out too much in the morning can cause harm to one's body and it is better to leave it till later in the day.
I'd have to get drunk every night and talk about virility...And those Pink elephants I'd see.

Looks like you don't eat enough from what you have written down - unless of course you eat a huge evening meal.

No breakfast is never a good idea since you need the energy and you will be sluggish and much more likely to snack. So always a good large bowl of cereal - take a quick peek at the sugar content make sure its not too extreme.

Taking up exercise is the best thing you can do. You will feel better - after the first bit of pain of course :D - and you will have more energy. You can of course be in good shape and have some flap so I suggest trying to eat chicken and turkey to a greater degree than beef. And here I don't mean chicken burgers but whole meat like breast and thighs without the skin. Lentils and beans in all forms contain less carbohydrates than say pasta so will also help. If you eat a lot of meat consider cutting down on that. Also don't forget its almost impossible to eat too many veg.

Its very hard to maintain a training regime all on you own so consider joining a team sport were you should be able too keep the motivation up. If you are afraid that you are in too bad shape, join a gym (make sure you get a good intro very important) and tough it out for say 4 month and then join the sport of your choice - this will also give you a goal to work towards.

If you cant afford the gym then try to make a list of exercises and times you have to do them. Test your limits - how many push ups, how many sit ups - write it down and slowly increase as the weeks go by. Maybe if you don't go to the gym buy a small simple exercise guide.

Good luck

Ohh and a final bit of advise. It is tempting to look for signs of progress all the time. Don't - they come slowly, its a long game and don't be discouraged. :)
I didn't really bounce Eeyore. I had a cough, and I happened to be behind Eeyore, and I said "Grrrr-oppp-ptschschschz."

Interesting study. Does it go further? From THIS evidence, it is clear to me, (that as an extention) getting up at ALL harms the body. Clearly, from this study here, we should be staying in bed, snuggling in comfy covers, resting our weary heads on soft pillows... Now I have the proof I need to start my campaign to never have to get out of bed again, thanks Sleep! :D

During the night when you sleep, metabolism slows down. Eating a large breakfast is actually the best way to start up your metabolism again. If you don't eat in the morning, you metabolism will run slower until you eat, so you actually burn less by not eating. Same thing with eating too little in general - that's why people who live on a strict diet often don't loose so much weight - they body adapt to how much you feed it, so eating very little turns on the "starvation" reaction, you body think it needs to save and conserve the energy and thus slows down the metabolism.
