How many Gamebanshee'ers are watching the Worldcup now?

Anything goes... just keep it clean.

8-0 in a World Cup match is freaking amazing if you ask me :) :D

I loved the last 2 goals, they were beautiful (of course, the Germans were playing an Arab side that was already pretty low on morale at that time, but the goals were still lovely ;) )

I felt sorry for saudia arabia. I think they did not like the world cup experience.

I think the world cup should be about the best teams not best team in each part of the world.

Australia should be there (no bias) we are better than saudia arabia) and so is holland,scotland...

What does everyone else think about this?

@at99-Yes,what you say may be true, but then there wouldn't be any more 'major upsets' in the World Cup if that happens(that and the fact that there wouldn't be any more teams from Asia participating in it, as the top footballing countries are from Europe, South America and Africa)

Waiting for the Sweden-England game....so I can still post :D

Like at99 I really feel sorry for Saudi Arabia, there aren't really that bad, they must have had a catastrophic day. I would expect them to loose by 0-3 or so to Germany, but 0-8 is horrible in a World Cup game :(

And yes, as is obvious, I watch the WC. :)

NIGERIA!

Since I'm cheering for Nigera, I have to view the England-Sweden game strategically, so I cheer for Sweden since I think Nigeria will have an easier time beating Sweden than England! :)

Sorry to be unpatriotic, but I actually agree with a Swedish sports journalist who wrote "Sweden play the most boring football in the world".

I think that you just don't want to give up your support of your (beloved?) Sweden...any excuse, huh?

Doesn't matter anyway, the Swedes don't have a chance :D

Be careful with spoilers, since some people can't watch the games live. Swedish TV for instance only broadcast 1/3 or the games live, it might be so in many other countries. :)

I guess its now a bit late to say that I'm following the World Cup.

But I can use this chance to restate that France will win the World Cup. As long as Cisse plays behind the strikers, Dugarry play a full 90 minutes and of course if Zizou comes back. They'll need him badly for Denmark, and possibly to play against Argentina should they qualify, which they will :p :D

@Tamerlene-Rather hopeful today, aren't we? :rolleyes: :p

Nah, seriously speaking, if Zidane recovers and doesn't suffer another injury, the French could probably make it to at least the quarterfinals :)
