This test doesn't have a built-in lying scale, bad for you

Some questions were too much of a forced choice though, like which state hamper you the most, shame, anger or fear - in my case neither. This test only has 28 items, which makes stability and consistency of the scales very difficult. It claims to be a bit serious, but nah - as all other free internet test it's just for entertainment.

What I meant was that I have a difficult time to without doubt quantify and compare separate feelings within me. I cant understand how im supposed to do this in a even remotely objective way.

In addition to this there are some question I just dont understand... whats the difference between "how I feel" about something and my "gut reaction" for example? And how are you supposed to answer a the question "How are your emotional life?"?

I know its just for fun but the fun kind of disapear when I cant even fill answers that I feel have any kind of fact basis.

@Dottie: What we in everyday talk refer to as emotions, ie "feelings", is something we can not compare in an objective way. The points in this test, is probably that you should just use your own, personal frame of reference.

The difference between "how you feel" and "gut reaction" is arbitrary to say the least - but I do think they refer to conscious, identified feelings versus brief impulses that you can't analyse or be fully aware of until afterwards.

You are right, objective was a stupid word to use in this context, Still If i am presented with a couple of aswers to how some persons think they would react in a given situation I might very well be able to tell the ones who easily get angry from those who rarly get angry. I will however have problem with comparing If those who easily get angry get more angry then those who easily get scared get scared. The same is true for my introspection. Yet many questions seem to demand such answers.

LMAO....but um...I'm an historian.....

Maybe those of us who scored high in eight will have to hatch a plot to rule the world.... a benevolent dictatorship of course....

@Dottie, I do know what you mean, some of those questions were difficult to answer, and quite arbitrary....sometimes not representing me at all, or dependent on mood....

Well, since you are a historican, and we both are 8-ish, I should suggest an "Illuminated despot" approach, according to the Louis XIV tradition

@Dottie: I see what you mean, comparing two different qualities at the same an abstract scale is difficult, especially when the questions are so general and vague as several questions in this test are. There are certain strategies that can be used, some such strategies are used in psychotherapy while working with improving a person's ability to introspection and self-knowledge. I'll give you a quick course later if you wish!

lol! Well, I seem to recall that Louis XIV was quite the patron of the arts, so I can live with that. Although I have to admit....I'd find the white, powdered wigs a bit uncomfortable after a while

I only looked at the joint top answers for mine (group 2 and 5), I was only one point behind as a group one and a group seven, then one point behind again for a group 4 - so they might apply too

I did not like some of the questions though, and there was no 'none of the above' available. So that makes me an even spread across 2, 5, 1, 7 and 4.

@CE and DW - I only scored 3 in group 8
