No, it wasn´t in my pocket.
I usually take it out before showering because the soap make it slip away from my finger, so I put it over the <insert english word for the shelf inside the bathroom where you keep shampoo and other hygiene products>. I was afraid it had fallen and gone through the drain. I didn´t realize (because I was sleepy) on that morning that I never had the chance to put the ring on the shelf, because it wasn´t on my finger at all when I woke up.
On the night before I must have uncounsciously taken it out while I was at the computer, because I found it yesterday night under the keyboard. I was typing a very long document and probably took it without thinking.

What a strange situation, i take it you didn't mention any of this to your intended
I'd have to get drunk every night and talk about virility...And those Pink elephants I'd see.

Do you think I´m THAT stupid?
Shelves in Portuguese are called "prateleiras"
The ones in the bathroom we call "saboneteiras" because it´s where you put the soap (sabonete)

A slight twist on the joy of finding something you've been looking for. Lets call it the embarassment of NOT finding something you didn't know you were looking for.
When I got up this morning I didn't think I was going to have one of those 'moments' which will haunt one for the rest of ones life, how wrong was I.
I saw an ad requesting a working push mower. I've got one of those which I don't use thought I, so I ring the nice lady and say have you got one yet. Yes someone is bringing one in today. Oh O.K. say I. Wait says the nice lady how much do I want for it? Want for it? Hell nothing. I'll take it says the nice lady. Good I'll bring it on Monday say I. No I want it now says the nice lady. Not a problem we will meet and drive to my house to pick it up. Sorted. We drive to my house I look for push mower in shed. It is not there! Cunning international push mower theives? No. Muggins has taken it to the dump in the last shed clean up and has forgotten Ah. Nice lady, about that OTHER mower..... - Curdis !

Finding that CD was of great interest to me. I'm just out of high school and not into Uni yet, and so far I haven't been able to find work so I have a lot of spare time on my hands.
Congrats to Leonardo on finding his ring.
BTW, a good reason for posting nonsense spam is posting while stoned. Like I am now, for instance.

I'm not certain, but I think this is a case where English is not as articulate.
I lost the necklace I bought the other day at Disneyland. I thought I had left it in the motel room in LA. Luckily, what had happened was that, on our last night in the motel, I took off my shirt without first taking off the necklace. Thus, the necklace came off with the shirt and was wrapped up in the shirt. Today, when my mum went to wash the clothes, she found my necklace in my shirt.
