But, I suppose, on many levels, I am like a checked box too.
I'm outta here for the night... have fun everybody!
Cartoon Law III
Any body passing through solid matter will leave a perforation conforming to its perimeter. Also called the silhouette of passage, this phenomenon is the speciality of victims of directed-pressure explosions and of reckless cowards who are so eager to escape that they exit directly through the wall of a house, leaving a cookie-cutout-perfect hole. The threat of skunks or matrimony often catalyzes this reaction.
@DP: *Hugs back* You are very sweet indeed even if I don't really like flowers and would have no idea what to do with 96 roses
@Waverly: You are not sweet but I like you anyway
@Flagg: I've been doing fine. Lot's of work since my lab reopened. Currently I'm working on two articles about the neurotransmitter serotonin. Some horrifying events have also occured, like my mother in law visiting for a whole weekend How about you?

C Elegans! Good to see you back. You were missed. I'm glad matters were cleared up.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
@Fable: Yes, I'm also very glad for that, and for seeing you. I'm sorry I missed the theology discussion, it looked like a very good one.
@Sleep: Are you serious? The function of the serotonin systems in the human brain are one of my main research lines. I don't know exactly what you'd like to know my opinion of, it's a vast subject, but in general: serotonin regulates lots of basic functions like body temp, hunger, sexual funtions etc. It also seems to be of importance for mood, broad personality traits and even some psychiatric illness. As I'm sure you know, the modern antidepressants like Prozac (SSRI:s) increases the serotonin level in the brain. But only about 60% of depressed people are actually helped by SSRI:s, so obviously serotonin is not the answer.

I wasn't serious about the tea (necessarily, do you like tea? )
But it i was serious about the seretonin, i am more interested in how it effects sleep, i have a condition known as FMS and was wondering about your opinions on how seretonin effects sleep?
I'd have to get drunk every night and talk about virility...And those Pink elephants I'd see.
@mrSleep: Certainly I like tea, I have lived in Britain for almost a year
Serotonin affects sleep in some ways, let's discuss this further when we "meet" next time. What does the acronym FMS stand for? In Swedish medical terms, I think it's a skeletal back problem.

GameBanshee Make your gaming scream! "I have seen them/I have watched them all fall/I have been them/I have watched myself crawl" "I will only complicate you/Trust in me and fall as well" "Quiet time...no more whine"
I might have solved it without the help of mr Sleep himself: FibroMyalgia Syndrome. If I'm correct, that would explain the connection to sleep and serotonin.
@T', Weasel: Thanks!
@Waverly: LOL Must be the condition Edwin gets from the scroll in BG2.
