How much will this cost??

I dont know the answer but that is one of my mental stumbling blocks. Trying to understand the scope and magnitude of the universe as a whole. Does the universe end or have an outer limit. If so,what is beyond that?Originally posted by Rob-hin:
<STRONG>The universe...
How big is it?
What was there before there was an universe?
If you go far enough south in the universe will you end up back where you started?
If so, what is there around it then?

I actually think about this, if someone knows the answer(s) PLEASE let me know...![]()

Two possibilities:Originally posted by Rob-hin:

"The universe is expanding" just means that all galaxies and extragalactic bodies are traveling away from each other. If the universe is finite with no boundries, that would eventually change. If the universe is infinite, then that might change depending on the gravitational constant of the universe relative to the total mass in the universe.Originally posted by Rob-hin:

Either a black hole or some other thing that was/is not governed by the laws of physics.

*ignores the technical fact that there are no cardinal directions in space*
If the universe is finite with no boundries, you will end up back where you started, if you go far enough in any one direction.
