I actually think about this, if someone knows the answer(s) PLEASE let me know...

I dont know the answer but that is one of my mental stumbling blocks. Trying to understand the scope and magnitude of the universe as a whole. Does the universe end or have an outer limit. If so,what is beyond that?
If the universe is expanding.
What is it expanding into?

EXACLY!! That's what I'm also thinking about (just forgot to type it  )

Man, we humans know so little...

But we convince ourselves that we know so much.

Two possibilities:
1.)Infinite
2.)Finite with no boundries
Originally posted by Rob-hin:

Either a black hole or some other thing that was/is not governed by the laws of physics.

*ignores the technical fact that there are no cardinal directions in space*

If the universe is finite with no boundries, you will end up back where you started, if you go far enough in any one direction.

 I'm not sure I understand what you're asking here.

"The universe is expanding" just means that all galaxies and extragalactic bodies are traveling away from each other. If the universe is finite with no boundries, that would eventually change. If the universe is infinite, then that might change depending on the gravitational constant of the universe relative to the total mass in the universe.

:)

I see now why you are good with Physics...

But now for a hard one....which came first the chicken or the egg???? huh??huh??? ;)

This moment is constant. Time is merely a concept invented by man and put into effect to help us keep track of things. In all actuallity, this moment is all there is or ever was...it is constant. All things happen in the now, not in the past or the future. We merely atribute these concepts to them because we feel we need to in order to be in control.

I think. :D

@ SS

You make some good points, BUT, it's just not so simple...
If the universe has no boundries and you go north (ignoring that there is no north :) )
And then you end back where you started, then this means you were going in a circle, the what is out of this circle?
(I find this hard to explain in English, but I hope you understand)

And if the universe was created witrh a big bang, then what was there before this big bang to create this big bang?

If all planets get further appart from one and anothother, that means the univers itselve is expanding, then again into what?
