Personally I loved the first one, just mainly because it has a better flow then the second one. In the first one you get a better feeling of the planets and how the Jedi/Sith war was effecting them, from the Mandalorians kidnaping on Dantoowen, to Korriban, every world you visit has it's own complex story compaired to KotOR II. I do agree that the characters have a bland speech, but that's half the fun, you got to remember that when these games were released they didn't really have the tech we do today, (I.e. Dragon Age coversations) honestly i dont miss any of the characters, but in KotOR I is was fun if your playing dark side to mess with bastila, and when used Force Persuade with Canderious in you party him making a comment about people being weak minded. I like the more complete story line of KotOR I, but cliff-hangers make you want to buy/read/play the next part of the story, I've never played a female in KotOR I, mainly because I wanted to keep the Revan character to it's core, to the fact where I only played DS and even named the character Revan, (I know stupid
) but till, it's was all around fun, so I don't know if the story line differers or what so if anyone could tell me, be my guest. I miss the transit system in KotOR II, because it was a lot of walking, and that makes a game stale. The only strange thing about KotOR II is they didn't really cover the events of the first one too well, i mean they talk about the war and what not, but the fact that Revan is "missing" kinda make me not want to play it anymore, and the fact that none of the Jedi mention the fact that Revan was "good" for a while, they just blank that part out all together, like it's some big taboo or something. Anyway, loved the first one, had mixed feelings about the second one.

Well this is a difficult question......(Spoilers ALERT!!)i like the romances in kotor 1 but kotor 2 it seems longer such as more life -like. By that i mean in kotor 1 u do somethign and bastilla and the others seem to not notice but kotor 2 is not much better. But the influence system is awesome.BUT IN KOTOR 1 U GET TO PLAY AS ONE OF THE MOST BADASS SITH LORDS EVER

In my oppinion kotor is better than kotor 2... I love them both, though
Its just that i just finished my second replay of kotor 2 and it was like I played it for the first time... It can't be a compliment to storyline cos i honestly didn't remember any of it
, whilst i know whole kotor by heart...
And it's not that I don't like story of kotor 2, I love it! iIt's all very mistique and alurring... Thing is that it's so scattered and unfinished and... I think that whole game is kinda fast forwarded, if u know what i mean
Well, for me, characters in kotor were more lovable, they just grew to me (in a way one would think inpossible for NPC's hehe). In kotor 2 they were really cool and different but their relationship with you just undeveloped enough. I blame it on influence system. I liked it at first but then i realised that it was influencing me. I mean, with influence system u easily get a pattern on how your answers should look like in order to please that character (aka to get reward out of him (another thing that I liked at first but hated after (it made me be all nice and cuddly with kreia (I really shouldnt be putting this much brackets inside of brackets...)))), and that made it much less personal and more scientific oriented
And last but not the least, ROMANCE. For me (as female) the best glimpse of romance was short conversation with Carth
) I rest my case hehe
My god! I sound like some hater
I honestly do like kotor 2, it has a lot of improvements, it's just that they are all expected in a sequel. And what's expected in sequel, as well, is to make that same big BOOM the first one made...I know that's a hard task, but every self respecting publisher would see to that... And here I go being all hating again... Blame it on writing this in 3 AM:laugh:
Off I go then
