The first time...the person called Baassie got mad...very mad. And tempers will cause people to do things they shouldn't. end of story. Banned

Second time was an Alter ego. Banned

Third time....he asked for forgiveness...but to much had gone on to ask then. Banned

In the end he learned, but it was too late. You cannot push people around and then ask to be forgiven.

There is no charge to come to this site. Buck pays for it (and with donations) The rules he set out are not that hard to follow.

Can't be me. I may get silly, sly, sarcastic, obfuscating or simply incomprehensible, but I'm never mean. :)

I think that's 100% correct. Websites aren't public services. They're privately owned domains. I liken it to being a guest in somebody's house. You may do whatever you like in your own rooms, but when visiting, you abide by the local rules. If you don't, the owner has every reason to kick you out, and if you're really obnoxious about it, you shouldn't expect to return anytime, soon.

forum rule #2 says that you can't post anything about illegal activities. i can think of many illegal things happening in the SYM forums, for example: all of the pubs people made, the drinking age is 21 my friends, now who here took some of that alchohol that wasn't 21? The talks about marijuana, marijuana is illegal, i seem to vividly remember Abysmal Nature saying how he grows marijuana in his sink! AN must be banned! how about the streaking issues we've encountered on some threads, that is surely illegal. i think all these members should be banned. also, nuking countries is certainly illegal, i think that everyone who said they would nuke places should be banned and thrown in jail.
(obviously i'm not serious here, so don't be a flamer and yell at me, also, i understand that nobody really nuked anybody, nobody smoked any pot, and nobody drank any beer, at least i didn't smoke pot, drink, or streak, i don't know about you other people, you know, since i'm talking about illegal things i might as well make this a really long post and tell you all that several of my posts i actually wrote while on the computers at school, now i don't remembe if this is allowed or not, but i'm positive that going into chatrooms on the school computers is not allowed, i just hope they don't notice)

Well, though you do raise a valid point, all of the happenings in sYM are in good humour, and would never have been said if we (the regulars) didn't feel comfortable with each other. In addition, most of it is jest, or fictious (The pubs, nuking, etc...), and none of it should be taken seriously. What that rules is mostly referring to is the mentioning of sites where one can find illegetimate software, and other things along those lines.

And I don't think we could really ask for a better landlord/host than Buck...Thanks

I smoked marijuana.

BTW, what's the verdict on having copied CDs if you have already bought the game legitimately? I haven't done so, largely because I did at last find my 2nd CD of BG2, but it seems to me that if you have paid for the game it's not an unreasonable thing to do.

Yep. Me and my friends drew buckets in my kitchen sink and then watched The Rocky Horror Picture Show. It was a pretty fun night.

I understand now that Wraithlord behaved very bad.
I thought that the IP was banned immediately, but I was wrong
and after all, this changes things a little.
He still had "a second chance", but surely he should have
sent a mail or something to Buck BEFORE everything else.
If this failed, he could as a last resort enter with a brand
new identity, and keep enjoying the forum having learned the
lesson.

About the spam thing, it's not that I can't bear it, but
damn, I thought the bg2 forum was FAST.......
Plus reading and writing in english takes me twice the time,
it's not that I understand everything at the first glance!
Maybe I'll take the time to post my profile...

@Baldursgate Fan: I was amazed!!! Someone so far who studies
italian!!!
I admit that I could understand the first statement only by
reading it in english, but the second was absolutely perfect!!
And you used a courtesy form long dead here, this flattered me!!
:D

This is why I started the thing, maybe.

P.S: if you do a nice declaration of war, I think nuking countries
is perfectly LEGAL.........

I really LIKE good ol' europe....**MUAHAHAHAHA**

No worries,

Any copies of a game, if you own the original is perfectly legal. It is only when they are distributed after being burned, or cpoied does it become illegal.

You're doing fine! Your comprehension is good, and there isn't the slightest problem understanding what you write. I hope you'll bring your own perspective to a lot of issues here in SYM, not to mention the usual free-for-all, low-priced spam. :)
