@Gwal - my sister's boyfriend hit the nail on the head yesterday when he compared our (sister and I) gaming addiction. He said such RPGs to us are like soap operas to many other people - where a lot of people discuss the joys and tragedies of East Enders, my sister and I discuss the romancing, deaths and strategies of Faerun...

Don't feel victimized Gwalchmai and Georgi, before we took out trip to Belize it had been about seven years since we'd went on a real vacation.I know what you mean though, it's depressing to hear about people heading off everywhere while you're stuck on the ranch.

@Gwalchmai,
We were on Ambergris Caye (we were staying in the beach front house of an acquaintance...hence the reason that we were able to afford such a long trip), if you don't know, it's a small island off the Belizian Coast. Besides the usual swimming, enjoying the sun stuff, we went to Lamanai a major Maya site. It was fascinating, especially because it's one of the few exacavations that is still moreorless completely in the jungle. Howler monkeys crashed through the trees above us and we even saw a sloth! We also went on a couple of snorkling trips, the country's barrier reef is second only to Australia's, I've never seen that much colour.....it was amazing. On a more relaxing level, the Belizian beer and rum are excellent........

DW, sorry I missed you. Lamanai sounds like fun. I would like to visit some of the sites in Belize. I've been to the west coast of Guatemala and El Salvador, but have never been to the east part of Central America. Snorkeling sounds like fun, too, in theory. I am somewhat afraid of the sea and the critters in it...
Hingis was out in the first round - again! I'm looking to see if Capriati (sp?) can make a go of it. Its strawberries and cream at our house this week!
