The group's relentless efforts were beginning to wear down the various undead in the clearing. The ground was splattered by gore and slime, and the reek of putrifaction hung in the air.
"The stink of evil," thought DW to her herself.
As she absently slashed at an approaching wraith, she noticed the large hole that had appeared just before the jelly orb had manifested itself. It was, she realised, a cave, or perhaps a tunnel. Dispatching the wraith, she went to look more closely. The stench of maloderous decay greeted her nostrils as she drew closer. Although she was not able to actually detect evil, its presence was palpable.

T’lainya saw the problem and yelled, “Get back!” She hurled a flask past the startled pair. The flask caught the first Grimward square in the rib cage. The whole torso exploded in flames. Darkpoets swords lashed out severing the bony arms of another Grimward, the swords lashed out again, shearing the bony skull in half.

@thantor-Yes, I've read the whole of the last thread
{This happened at the beginning of the first battle }
The figure stopped dead in his tracks when he heard the familiar sound of the creature he was hunting."Ahh...it shouldn't be too far off now," he muttered softly to himself as he headed towards the source of the sound.
As he moved closer, he could hear the sound of other creatures together with the creature. It came as no surprise to him, as he knew that this elusive creature never travelled alone. But wait...he could now hear the familiar tone of human voices."Humans? Here?" he wondered," this does not bode well".He then decided to blend with his surroundings (erm, hide in shadows
) as he neared the battle
*****
Brink saw the familiar figure of the Amorphia, an extremely bloodthirsty creature. He strained his eyes and noticed the rest of its group, mostly made up of undead creatures. He pulled back the string of his bow, preparing to strike the creature while it wasn't paying attention to him...but decided against it when the gleam of metal caught the corner of his left eye.He moved his head slightly upwards and saw the presence of human-like creatures."Of course," his mind went on, "It would never leave itself so open unless it was feeding time."
Brink thought that perhaps it was better to observe the fight than to participate in it.And so, he layed still as he watched the humans take out the undead with ease and killing the Amorphia in the process. He was impressed by their fighting prowess, as he had been witnessed to many a death caused by this creature.
There wasn't much time for the adventurers to celebrate though, as they now had ten Grimward archers confronting them.Again, Brink decided to observe their actions, always taking note of what they do

Dragon Wench felt a prickle in the back of her skull, as though they were being observed. But she decided to ignore it for the moment and instead concentrated on the Grimward archers. Magic missiles flew from her fingertips and she heard several of them cry out as the hot, pink orbs unerringly embedded themselves in rotting flesh. Nervously, she looked over her shoulder, the sense that someone or something was watching them was growing stronger. As her unease heightened she summoned a few spiders, and bidding them to keep watch on the surrounding undergrowth, she once more focused on the archers. Rapidly, she quaffed a fire potion, and directed her breath towards the enemy, searing flames finished off those that had been hurt by the magic missiles.
She noticed that her companions were making short work of Amorphia, and only a few archers remained.

Brink noticed that one of the adventurers had summoned up a few spiders."Hah, those spiders won't do much against these undead," Brink grinned at the thought. He was slightly alarmed though when he saw the spiders approaching him instead of the beast, but calm returned to him when he remembered that he was still hiding in shadows."There's no way that they could find me," he let out a small sigh of relief,"they're probably just scouting the perimeter".Brink continued his observations with extreme care so as to not give himself away

As Georgi's sword sliced through a grimward, she heard a yell, and turned to see Kramor disappear into the hole. She glanced at Loner, who was still busy with Amorphia, and then resolved herself that since they were going to have to go down the hole anyway, now was as good a time as any. Thantor's down here somewhere, she told herself, as she jumped down after Kramor.

Who, me?!?
Darkpoet watched Kramor then Georgi, go into the hole. Seeing Loner all by herself fighting the Amorphia, he had enough. Darkpoet jumped on the Amorphia, slashing and hacking at it. He winced at the stinging on his neck, ignoring it, he finally periced the heart of the Amorphia. It sagged, Darkpoet rolled away, as the Amorphia flailed around, then stopped. Darkpoet's neck started to burn..........
Brink noted that two members of the adventuring party had 'fallen' into what was known to him as 'Dead Man's Hole".Memories of the past flooded his mind; he remembered how he had seen many adventurers enter the hole, mostly to eradicate the great evil believed to be found within. He had tried to warn them about how no one had manage to get back out after descending into the hole, and how he had lost his own band mates to the evil within."They were foolish," he thought as tears streamed down his cheeks," they wouldn't listen to reason."
He couldn't concentrate on his observations as he remembered about the screams he had heard every night...some of them he recognized as his previous bandmates. His sudden action unwittingly drew the attention of a spider towards him...

T’lainya saw Darkpoet take a hit on his neck from the beast. She was helping to bring Gwally around when she saw Dp rubbing at the injury. She rose hastily and made her way over to him. “Does it burn?” She asked with some concern. She could see the area swelling slightly. “Let me give you an antidote for poisons.” She fished a small vial out of her belt pouch and bade him to drink the contents.

Brink let out a sigh of relief as the spider sped past him without him getting detected. He silently cursed himself for letting his concentration go down for even a moment, for he could have easily been spotted. He looked up and saw a person getting hit by the beast he was hunting followed by the beast eventually falling. He pulled back the string of his bow and released it, seeing the arrow hit the beast just as it was on the verge of falling down. He heaved another sigh of relief once the beast was down on the ground,it's body showing no more signs of life, and then contemplated revealing his presence...after all, some of them seem strangely familiar to him....

Dragon Wench stared down at the hole. She wondered if Thantor was down there somewhere. Somehow, she suspected that he was not. That hole, however evil it appeared, was still part of their earthly plane. The cleric, however, had disspeared through some kind of portal, and Dragon Wench had the uneasy feeling that he would not be found very easily.

As Kramor fell into the hole, he was pissed. At first it looked black, but he noticed that, it was lighted. He landed on his feet, with a thump. Kramor looked around, then stared into the eyes of a startled Orc Wizard. Kramor threw a dagger, then charged the it. Cutting the Orc Wizard in two, pulling the dagger out and wiping it off. He heard another noise behind him, throwing the dagger as he turned. Georgi grunted as the dagger, buried itself to the hilt, in her shoulder. Kramor's eyes widen, yelling "Georgi, noooooooooooooooo " Running to Georgi, "My god, what have I done."

"That's the last time I watch your back," Georgi retorted, leaning against the wall. She noticed it was slimy to the touch. "At least it wasn't my sword arm." Wincing, she reached up and pulled out the dagger. It clattered to the floor.

Who, me?!?
"Here don't move, let me heal it." Kramor told Georgi. Putting his hand inside her tunic, Georgi grinned at him. Kramor shook his head, he couldn't help but grin. "I won't tell Thantor, if you don't tell Loner. Now, hold still, this will hurt."
Kramor pinched the wound, closing his eyes. He concentrated on healing the wound, when Kramor felt the wound close shut. He stopped pinching, quickly removing his hand.
"Hmmmmm, nice scar to show Thantor, after we find him."
"Ahem" Kramor looked up, and saw Loner, he started to smile. But, stopped, Loner was looking at Kramor with an arched eyebrow, not saying a word. Out of the corner of his mouth, "I'm dead." Kramor told Georgi.
