@C.E think it's pretty deserted all round sym right now. Why anybody would want to pursue other avenues of their life I really don't know.

Hi again Brink,

Hi DW, here it's 7:15 am and I'm alternating between posting and playing Planescape:Torment. But today ToB is supposed to be released in Sweden, my husband promised to get it for me :D

Hi Brink.

CE, what is Planescape Torment like? I saw it on sale at the local computer store when I went in to get ToB.

Hmm...I'm running BG2 (without ToB :( ) in the background, typing an e-mail and checking in here :) ;) .

@Dragonwench-Heya :) .Planescape: Torment is a great game (much better than BG2 IMHO in terms of NPC interactions ;) :) )

DW, I just started yesterday, so I'm not sure. Progress is slower that BG2, much more focus on story and talking (ie reading dialogue text). But I like the setting and the concept so far :)

Hmmmm, maybe I'll invest in a copy of PLanescape. Of course, just like many people I'm also pretty intrigued about Never Winter Nights, I was sure that it would have been released by now, but I must have confused the release date with ToB.

See you Brink, take care :)

DW: I think you try Planescape, especially since you would probably get a copy for a small sum now. It was never as popular as BG, and it's about 2 years old now. I'm also awaiting NWN, but last release date I heard was either this September, or March 2002.

The preview of Planescape looked cool. But my wife would kill me if I got another computer game right now. I still haven't told her that I got ToB! There's a lawn to be mowed, books to be read to the children, shopping to do, dinners to cook.... (We need an 'arrgh!' smiley)

@DW: There's hope for my dissertation too! Nah, not really. CRPG:s, SYM and my husband will postpone it to the year 2013. :D

@GM: Can't you get your wife addicted to BG as well? Then you can play multiplayer mode :)

Nah, my wife doesn't like the D&D stuff. She likes to read romance novels. For computer games, she enjoyed Myst and 7th Guest. She's a problem solver, and very good at it. But she considers me to have a greater imagination - which you need for RPGs.

One reason that I'm addicted to SYM is that I know that most everyone here has an appreciation for RPGs like BG2. Even if we don't talk about BG2 specifically all the time, I know that if I make a joke about cooking with a semi-sentient +5 spatula, everyone would get the joke (however lame). I don't have that kind of connection with any of my real-life friends. ;)
