A character using Force Persuade on someone? I don't recall any incident of a character doing that, even during a conversation. What I do know is that at some point in a conversation, a team member might butt in.

Yes, it can happen. I recall a few instances of both Bastila and Junani using force persuade. It only triggers if they have the skill and you don't. I don't know if it works in all the dialogue options that have force persuade lines in them, but I can think of at least three seperate instances. You have to take into account that at least half of them are morally questionable, so Juhani or Bastila might not want to respond.

So, force persuade and charisma aren't entirely wasted stats on one of the other NPC's.

I see. Probably my character's Persuade skill must be quite high or I could have chosen some other dialogue option because I never encountered this before the last time I played the game.

Isn't Force persuade a force power you can get, and it's two levels are called dominate mind(2) and something else mind(1)

Yeah. I do recall that I have that skill but it depends on certain conversations with NPCs. The persuade skill seems to be used quite more often than Force Persuade, from what I recall.
