I'm new to this game.. I look for the question and I couldn't found an answer.
Is there a way to give armor/items to your companion?

Errr..... depends what kind of companion you've got with you. If (s)he's from a mod, then you'll probably have the option of "companion share" under the persuasion option in the dialog menu. If that's the case, you'll be able to move items back and forth between your inventory and theirs (just like a container, as it were) and (s)he'll wear and use the best gear in his/her inventory. If there is no companion share option, (eg. this person is part of a quest), then they likely won't be with you very long, and so there's no real need to give them stuff (wouldn't really be an escort if they could fend for themselves
). If you're on pc, you can learn the console ID's of items and open the console (~) and click on them and type "additem (item id in quotations) 1" They'll wear the gear, but don't expect to get it back.
Get up, stand up. Come on, throw your hands up.

I believe that there are at least two mercenary types, from the Tribunal expansion that can carry items. You can access their inventory by talking to them and clicking on the appropriate options.
