(spoiler) Hk-47

Post by Mote »

I've played the game through a couple of times and I had a question concerning some of the things HK-47 mentions after he's revived.

This might be a spoiler so the following is in black:

HK mentions using the sonic imprint sensor to track down the location of where the HK-50's are coming from. I've yet to see this happen. As far as I know, you only bump into the HK's in 4 (ish) places: 1. Peragus 2. I once (only once) saw a beat up HK unit (that you can re-wire to follow you a short distance before it explodes) in the old military base on Telos' surface. 3. The polar region of Telos and 4. The droid factory on Nar Shadda.

Am I missing something? I've yet to get HK-47 functional before the "Last" encounter so as tyo follow the trail anywhere...

Is this just missing from the game itself, uncomplete? Or did I miss something?

I believe this is due to the fact that there was orginally a droid planet named m4-78, IIRC. It was left out due to the game being unfinished. I think this bit of dialogue is a remaining scrap of a quest intended to track down the droids on this planet and then destroy them. Sadly, we'll likely never know for sure.

p.s. if anybody knows another reason, correct me because i may be wrong

Figures. :( Thanks for the answer- guess I wont spend any more time trying to figure that one out.

Makes me wonder how many other things I keep failing to resolve were just 'unfinished' bits...

I wonder if there is a list of 'unfinished' things somewhere. Would save me a lot of hassle. :P

This is the thread - over at the Obsidian forums - that really bought the cut content out into the open. It was initiated by Aurora, who went on become the founder of the TSL Restoration Project. Beware: it is very long...

"We were hoping we could bring the Xbox platform into December but didn't want to make the formal announcement until we knew an earlier ship date would not compromise the quality of The Sith Lords," says Producer Mike Gallo.

Yeah, thanks :D

I found all that the same night I posted this stuff...

Amazing how good this game 'could' have been.

I actually enjoyed a lot of it more than KOTOR 1, but the ending was a stumper... as were things like the HK47 bit (and others) that kind of leave you hanging... The detail that was in the storyline and characters didnt seem like it was dreamed up by someone that would leave it that sloppy. I bet the devs of the game were pretty dissapointed they didnt have the time to finish it.

Figures it would all be about that "Christmas" release...

Makes a lot more sense to me now...

Will definately be keeping track of the 'restoration' efforts. Looks like it will help make this game the game it SHOULD have been :)
