Prince Thrommel

I am having problems in getting the Prince into my party. When I first released him and offered to lead him out of the temple I did have 8 people in my party(yeah I know I am a wuse), I disposed of a member of my group but the prince still won't join. I only get the option to dismiss him.
He follows my group occassionally but won't go past the door to the escape tunnel. He also wallops me with his sword (or is it the sword doing the walloping) if he is close by during a battle.
Any help appreciated

Is your party "evil"????? The Prince is Good (chaotic I believe).

My party was "good" alignment. Leader was neutral good, 2 chaotic good, another neutral good and a true neutral. At the time of meeting the prince I had 2 human followers & Scorpp the giant. I did have the skull I wonder if that would have made a difference.

GET RID OF SCORPP! he is very bad. he rocks people world's in melee, but beyond that he is aweful. plus your party will gain awesome XP for killing him once he is in your party, b/c he won't fight back hahah! and when you get thrommel, kill him as soon as you are about to leave the temple, take his stuff (especially that insane sword) and then ressurect him w/ a cleric! then you get fragarach and scather! booyah!
