To get the real lowdown check here
My kids really love the Wiggles. One thing I can say for them, is that they get the kids up off the couch and moving around. That's more than I can say for most programing. The kids also force me to get up and dance with them, which is a horrible thing indeed, but good for my health.... :D

I would associate Weasel with Mojo Jojo....
That there; exactly the kinda diversion we coulda used.

Have fun with the Teletubbies then :D

Nah, I know you better than this. You are just like all the rest! I will defend my own honour thankyou - I am sure I can cope with childrens programs, considering I am not only expert on the recent stuff, I also see the old stuff coming around again! :D

Ouch!
You set me up didn't you? :D

To tell the truth, I did watch one episode 2 times, with my friends.
Considering they show everything 2 times, I saw it 4 times!
It was really funny!
Some kids had a plastic pool with a slide. And they played with balls and bubbles etc.
We were litterally laughing our asses off!(not sure why though  )
We were drinking beer a lott that weekend though! :D
Guinness is good for you.

I am glad to see I am so well known! :D ;) (I hope you have been well, I don't see you online too often)

I must let Weasel continue his world conquest today without me, as I must leave work. Take care everyone.... :D

@Rob-hin LMAO! :D

The woman who invented the Tubbies, also invented many other childrens programs, she is an educational award winner.

WARNING!!

This is my line of defence of the Tubbies

Kids LOVE repetition, it is how they learn. What was appealing re the Tubbies was not only the repetition, but the two year olds also found their enthusiasm to learn infectious. (The Tubbies were aliens ok?) I watched my kids watch a scene, they are rapt by the Tubbies' wonder, they watch it again, they look more to the scene and love the familiarity, they watch it again, and it is something new that they now know ;) A simple for instance, things that go up come down, (shown by the Tubbies repeatedly running up the stairs and coming down a slide) At first, the slide looks fun!! the Tubbies are having fun! they can relate to this...then the repetition of the Tubbies calling "up" then "down" starts to become interesting to them...

Oh God, somebody stop me now!! :D  ;)

See you later McBane!

Since you are beiing serious, so can I.

The good thing about the Tubbies is that childeren can stay focused at it for a long perioud of time.
The show is very well made.
I have to give that credit for that.

But I'm tired, see you later. :)

@Rob-hin, I have seen no other program (educational or not) enrapt a 1-2 year old as the Tubbies have :) Regardless of all the claims that it is racist or sexist  a 2 year old cares not for the "adult" interpretations, since these "adults" know nothing of the important ingredient - the magic ;)

See you later :)

I sit and watch the Cartoon Network and wonder...is it made for kids...or do I see things my preverted mind can only see. :D

Since you put them there, yourself, I'm not surprised. ;)

I note the following, in a report from an Anglo-Japanese symposium on idioms:

"...That last comment brought an enthusiastic response from the audience. Indeed, the gravity of the situations that produced discussion of mokusatsu and hansei aside, the evening was regularly punctuated with bursts of laughter from the audience, particularly during the discussion of ``weasel words,'' Japanese phrases whose meaning seems to vary with the speaker and the hour."

Need I add that many US cartoons are Japanese anime? The links begin to grow.

Just a note on the Wiggles - they began as a pub band called "The C0ckroaches". Not bad, but they were no Led Zeppelin. Then they discovered they could make millions by selling their souls to tiny tots. Presumably they are also in the pay of Weasel to help distribute his propaganda.

Personally, I preferred the original name.

Was this during a part of their show where they talk to members of the audience?
