Trust CE, you must be joking, that vocabulary alone should make one suspicious, plus she swears so obviously that is cause for concern... :D

I have never understood the Fruedian method of thinking either, it seems bizaare to me, i am sure CE will correct our thinking on it though ;)

Well I don't have any problems as far as I know, which is great :D As for all people who feel their lives are bad, they will get better...noone stays sad for ever, and one day you will look back, after falling in love or finding a purpose of some sort, and realise that there have always been good things, you just didn't notice them at the time :)

7. According to my stepkids, I have a callous disregard for their feelings.
8. I drink too much cola and my high-cholesterol, high-fat, low-exercise lifestyle will one day get the best of me.
9. I have a tendency to take naps on the couch and wake up looking frantically for my glasses only to find them sitting on the bridge of my nose.
10. I am the only person in the world who can't bring themself to watch Dirty Dancing or Titanic.

I will never get myself to watch Dirty Dancing

Since I have studied the Titanic since I was in Kindergarden (I am not kidding) I have done whatever I could to see/read anything on the Titanic and other sunken ships. I watched that movie purely for the historical aspect. I think they were historically accurate and the effects were very good. I tried my best to ignore the blasted romance. I hated that aspect of the movie.

List

Im going to freely just rant about my problems too. Given I started this thread.

My ex girlfriend whom I believe I still am in love with is moving a state away with her new boyfriend tommorow at four am and she wants to hang out tonight. Im slightly out of shape, but just enough for it to bother me everyday. I have no dental insurance and my wisdom teeth are coming in, but I cant spend cash on that considering I owe Sallie mae loans 3,000 bucks... I owe Farmers insurance 4500 bucks and I owe my father (the easiest to oay off) about 10k. I got a truck that doesnt work, I think its the battery but it might be the plugs. I was late to work today and over all im just freakin tired of livin at home and having to pay 300 bucks to live iwth my folks,

Im not depressed because I ama realist, I just have to deal with it.

That list is just for today, I could post tommorow but like I said i am not an optimisitic or even negative person.... Im just a person.

So sorry to hera that Thuggy. It seems you've got same situation as I do now - in great need of cash to settle some things. Well I just can say hang on there. May be what I wrote seems like a mere comforting post, but that's all I can do for you.

Anyway you can try this :
Late at night before you sleep or get sleepy, sit on the corner of the room (Make sure you turn off the lights first). If you happen to smoke you can light the cigar. Then think the good things that you still have these days. Perhaps afterwards you can make sometime to pray and thank God about all those good things. :)

Well, let's see... Where to begin.

I may've just messed up the best thing to ever happen to me in my life, I've been clinically depressed for two months, I owe my friend a ton of cash (though I insisted he don't give it to me in the first place) I haven't seen my mother in about 5 days (Which is odd, as I'm living with her for the summer). My back is about to go out on me, work is killing me, I'm getting no sleep, my hands are completely dry, and I've cried myself to sleep more times then I can count in the past couple of months. Thats about it.

I am interested to know what therapy all the people who are depressed are using :) I know several people who suffer from depression, and the treatment which helps them is often very different...

BTW - Can someone define 'clinical' depression for me?

C Elegans can probably enlighten us as to the finer points, but try #1clinicaldepression.com for some basic information.

So, here it goes. :D

*Ahum*

It's not historically correct, if my info is right that is.

I never saw the movie, but I've been told Leo goes fishing in a lake. But at that time, the lake didn't exict yet!

Therapy? Music. Whenever I get depressed I listen to music. Seems to make it better. If that doesnt work, I sleep or play games that dont require too much thought, like Diablo II. One of these or a combination of these makes me feel better.

Well, I was referring more along the lines of the Titanic sinking and the happenings there. Nothing that refers to Leo. Like I said, I tried very hard to ignore everything about that bloody romance thing, so I ignored Leo as much as I could.

Its all good. But more people would hate being corrected than being thankful.

*hugs everyone*

What's wrong with me:
1) I am too touchy feelly.
2) Many other things, but it's all okay, we humans make mistakes.

*Adds a second 'l' to 'feely' with mixed results, wonders if it's possible to mispell made up words*
