it might be because of race, halforcs don't get romances, and aerie might not go for haflings and gnomes or something.

You can get a fix for that at sabre's site, http://www.users.bigpond.com/qtnt/index.htm but i think you will have to start over for it to work.
If I asked, would you answer? Its your problem. Its a deep, deep problem. I have no way to ask about that... I have no elegant way of stepping into your heart without tracking in filth. So I will wait. Someday, when you want to tell me, tell me then. -Bleach

You've opened a can of worms there my friend...

There are many reasons, I can list some:
  • Your race
Your dialogue options (how you spoke to her)
    Bugs in your script
Anything you've done to make her angry
    Her alignment
    She's on her period...
Spot the odd one out... :D :D

Keep it clean, folks, per Buck's request, or this thread will be closed. Fair warning.

I think I read somewhere that you CAN romance Aerie when you're a halfling...

There were posts (very old posts) here that gave the commands to force romance dialogues, though I don't know if they still exist.

You can kick-start any romance with the console.

To start a romance with Aerie, enter the following lines at the console:

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("AerieMatch","global",1)

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("AerieRomanceActive","global",1)

To start her romance in the ToB expansion, then simply enter the following at the console:

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("AerieRomanceActive","global",2)

To start a romance with one of the others, replace Aerie with Anomen, Jaheira, or Viconia.

Example: AerieMatch -> JaheiraMatch

Some romance dialogs require conditions to be met before they'll occur, like being outside, party resting, etc. If your romance appears to be stuck, change the setting or try sleeping.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

I ran aerie romance as a gnome, but seemed buggy, as it took really a long time. I think youre always better if you plan to go with the girls, to have another girl who is also capable of romancing you, since the dialogs trigger much faaster in a triangle.

aerie-gnome, human, elf, half elf

viccy half orc(I think you might need a patch)half elf, human

jahiera-human, half elf, elf

another way is to start male, then use sk to turn female. you can still sleep with the girls, and even anomen likes you !!!

Is there a triangle with Viconia and Jaheira?

I've heard there's one with Viconia and Aerie, and I know there's one with Aerie and Jaheira.

But the game I'm playing now, I had several dialogues with Jaheira with Viconia in the party, but not a peep from Vic. Then I dropped Jaheira and the guilty feeling hadn't even subsided before Viconia started up. It was like she wasn't going to steal my character from Jaheira, but that doesn't sound like Vic!

When I had both Vic and Jaheira in my party they were biting eachother's head of, like, all the time. It was ...fun.

Shadowkeeper.

You know, you guys really should go out and find some women. It's a lot more fun than trying to have romances with icons and dialog probably made by a 300-pound programmer known to his colleagues as "Bubba." ;)

C'mon, Fable, do you really want to start that particular line of discussion off again? The romances are a nice idea and add a lot more character to a select few NPCs, but that's all they are. I doubt anyone other than UserUnfriendly takes them seriously. :p

BTW, Viconia and Jaheira do quarrel with each other over the PC. As usual, Viconia gets the best put-downs.
