me,I'm a sucker for dogs.Currently,I have a 5 year old,54 kg Rottie and a 2 year old,27 kg Belgian sheepdog.That allows me to sleep in at weekends,having been sued by the post office 4-5 times,not to mention having paid quite a fine,after a traffic cop "tried" to stick an -illegal parking- ticket at the wipers while I was not there.I had to pay for the uniform,too!!

I suspect the crow really has no tolerance for Windows. A lot of folks are like that.Originally posted by Rob-hin:

Personally, I'm fond of cats. We currently have two: Forint, a leaper, who likes climbing on tall objects; and Leva, who grunts a great deal abd has finally learned that he can get beyond closed doors by turning the knob. Fortunately, cats lack opposable thumbs, which shows that there *is* some kind of god behind evolution.

I don't have a pet (I suppose the husband doesn't count?
)
I'd like to have a pretty snake, frog or tarantella, but I work and travel too much to be able to take care of a pet in a good way.
One of my friends is a herpetologist. He has many beautiful snakes and frogs from all over the world, and I realise from him that it's quite demanding (cleaning, keeping the right temperature and humidity, food and water etc)

I know what you mean, CE - having a pet would be SOOO nice (I want to get a normal cat though), but I just don't know if I can deal with the trouble - in the case of a cat the cleaning, keeping up the litter box and all that, hiking food up my many stairs etc. I love when i am at the market and I see someone in line, and all they are buying is pet food - cans of cat food or bags of dog food. They had to make a special trip to the store so the animal could be fed. It's cute.
I've always loved cats, and my parents still have a black and white cat that I brought home in 1989 when I still lived with them, so I go over and see him sometimes. I guess he wakes up my dad at 5:50 every morning for breakfast. Love the cat, but I don't know if I could deal with that.

I don't have any pets, what with being a student and all, but I love cats. One of the cats my family had was friendly with our neighbours' cats, and used to go in and out of their cat flap sometimes. Now, they also kept goldfish (can you see where this is going yet?), which their cats didn't seem particularly interested in. However, one day, they came home to find our cat standing in their fishtank... and no fish
I think my parents bought them some new fish...
Who, me?!?
Well,I have nothing against cats(my dogs do)but where are all the canine lovers?
As for the trouble looking after a pet,what better thing than a wet nose waking one up,returning home and having a fuzzy therapy and an occasional chewed slipper?I travel a lot,too but it's really worth it when I return.

Cats and dogs are both lovable. Infact, i like most animals.
Cats are cool anytime, as long as they aren't the anti-social ones (there seem to be a lot of them). I love dogs, just as long as they're not big, or if they're big they don't knock you down every time they see you.
I named my two kittens, ips and oops. my cute little terrier is named lucky.
