Not sure- but if the characters outside party gain exp too, i dont see why downed members won't

Is the game fully installed & with the latest patches?

What i do is:

1 ranged 1 melee & Bastlia

1. Pause & make bastila cast her force powers on him at first

2. Still paused, make your ranged character bombard him with special attacks, (power blast, sniper shot etc, this will help getting his shield down which will make bastila's lightsabre work more ...
