I recommend elf because of the bonus at long bow/long sword. I always start with long sword ++ two weapon style +++. The lack of constitution doesn't matter while you'll be always stoneskined or mirrored. I prefer dexterity 19.

I didn't like it very much, but it's balanced. Some combats are improved (like the Irenicus dungeon) and old friends from BG1 can now join to your party. There are some cool items, but the new kits are terrible.

That's ok by me, Taco. Nevertheless I don't have ToB, so I can't help you...

I think you shoul use Korgan instead Minsc (because Mins + Viccy is a bad combination), and then add Edwin (the best wizard in the game)... but if you want to be good, you should use Anomen or Jaheira instead Viconia, and add Keldorn (True Sight/dispell magic habilities)

I'm still doing sidequests (Nalia's Keep, no problem there). But... what did you do against mindflayers at the underdark?! Can't cast chaotic comands!!

A powerfull wizard like Gandalf that only want to stay with you in certain missions would be cool.

Yes, it's another possibility. Mmm... Celestial Fury + Dakkon's or Crom Faeyr + Equalizer?? Defeating the chars at Guarded Compound won't give me problems, I think... I defeated the great Shadow Dragon!!

I finished at 9/16 (human cleric of Helm/mage) with a full party. It was enough, I must say.
