Well the solution's obvious, innit?
Play Arcanum to the exclusion of everything else. Problem solved.
(Or, if you really don't like walkthroughs, you could try keeping a written log of your own.)

I prefer turn-based RPGs myself (and have a bunch of them lined up on GoG, ready for whenever I have some time to play) but can only speak for the games which I've actually played through. Hopefully, they're new to you.
Both Arcanum and PoR: Ruins of Myth Drannor offer a turn-based option ...

All right, since I'm one for one, let's take another step up to the plate.
Joel Rosenberg has written what is perhaps the classic RPG book series: The Guardians of the Flame . The series is up to at least ten books now, but as far as I'm concerned you can stop reading after seven.
The premise is ...

Does the recommendation have to be in an RPG universe, or can I promote a fantasy world which I enjoy?
If the latter, you could do worse than to check out Garth Nix's Abhorsen trilogy: Sabirel, Lirael and Abhorsen (with a separate postscript published as a short story in his collection Across the ...

I used to use the Tarant warehouse as well. Problem is, getting around and then out of the city is such a pain (if you're advanced enough to have Teleportation, you're probably too magical for the subway system).
Now my domicile of choice is the inn in Black Root. When you enter or teleport into ...

Experience is divided among all members of the party; and while you start with no more than four, you can eventually add (and even replace) NPCs to get to a maximum of six characters.
However, because the game is both frustratingly slow at times (undead monsters move at a snail's pace) and stingy ...

Is it wrong if I refuse to take such a survey, based solely on a glaring typo in the title of the thread?
No. No, I'm sure it isn't wrong. Sloppy proofreading doesn't automatically imply a slapdash survey, or a biased interpretation of the results. But it's certainly a big red flag in my book.

Do therapeutics get around the ceiling, though? I always thought it was fixed; for example, I've used the vivifier on someone with maxed out strength and dex, and it didn't raise those stats any further.

Just finished rereading Robin McKinley's The Blue Sword and its prequel, The Hero and the Crown.
I loves me a strong and capable, yet at the same time flawed and vulnerable, female protagonist. Based on that, anyone have any recommendations?

For weapons, I don't just look at power; I look at speed.
For all its coolness factor, the AD has two serious disadvantages: it's slow and has a very limited range. (I'd add a third, that it's loud, except that I don't often play thieves or prowlers where that matters.)
Azram's Star, OTOH, looks ...

Unfortunately, while cursed items are SUPPOSED to revert any lost stats if removed, a number of such items have a glitch. Sometimes this works in your favor (for example, the Dark Helm gives you a permanent +20% MA for an equal hit in alignment, each time you remove it and put it back on ) but as ...

Honestly aside from the "Force Good Reaction" FP, I found nearly all the others to be useless, if a door is locked and you can't pic it, or can't unlock with a spell, smash it down, this game is relatively simple to play in multiple directions
As long as you've brought it up, I have to admit to a ...
