I noticed early this morning that it was working again.

Thanks for the work you are putting into this Buck.

It has come back in Firefox after the day ended. It looks like that in order to view this site in Firefox I will need to run a cache cleaner daily. That is not a solution.

I'll just have to be satisfied with viewing the site in IE for the duration until a better solution is found.

Fixed now. Had to run a cache cleaner to clear it out on this side. But the gremlins seem to have gone away. Ad screen still blank though.

Still no dice.

Is there any other default settings that may be buggering with this? The cache is cleared every time I close the browser and I am still getting the infinite loop problem on my Firefox.

Still no ad on the splash screen showing in IE. Really kinda weird.

Still happening Buck

There is a redirect URL I am pasting in here that may help. I should also add the no ad actually shows. Just a blank white screen. Your sponsers are not benefitting at all here and maybe that knowledge can light a small fire under their rear ends.

I can't view the site at all on Firefox now. I get a looping skip this ad message that repeats forever. This occurs whether ad block is disabled or not.

Only way I can view the site is in IE. Not my preferred browser.

Location East Coast Canada.

No ads in the PC version at all. Yet another reason not use crappy consoles.

On another note, pirating a game because they are using ads to get more money, thereby depriving them of money seems...counterproductive to say the least.

Either I am oblivious or the ads don't exist on The PC version. Either way this "problem" has had precisely 0 impact on me. Of course the load times are so quick on my machine there is not much time to stare at a screen.

Either way promoting piracy to get back at them for posting an AD? get real.

You can still manually select the needed ingredients if it is the Witcher and not Assassins of Kings. Cat should be in the basic potions you have formula for before leaving Caer Morhen. Do you still have a scroll in your inventory? Simply reading it will add the formula within to your list

Try using strong sword style. He is very resistant to fast style. If you cannot stun him with aard for an instakill he still goes down pretty quick with strong style.

I think they are optional but make things easier. Killing enough monsters of a type will give you info on them. Might be some benefit to reading books on unique monsters such as *spoiler*

the kayran.
Otherwise just keep beating them until your journal updates and save your money.

Neither patch version worked?

If that's the case then I'm tapped out for now. I'll try a bit more digging but I am not confident in the result. Sorry, wish I could help more.

Normal english patch should work fine then. Give it a shot on your C drive. I really don't get why it should make any kind of difference but my secondary drives are set to data select instead of slave so I can't test it on my own machine. I'd look for an uninstaller program as well to make your ...

Well we tried 2 different patch files for the retail version.

Next step is a clean uninstall and reinstall the game. Might as well move it to your C drive while you are at it.

Are you using the standard english version or did you sneak in a Russian version to get past weird AUS censorship ...

I did a bit of digging around, official forums are not up still so this is the best I could find. One user suggested to another who had a similar problem as you that the full 900 MB patch was unneeded as you already have the EE version.

He suggested the version found here. It's straw grasping but ...

I am trying to patch my The Witcher EE from 1.4.5.1304 to 1.5.0.1034. Downloaded the 1.5 patch from The Witcher official site and tried to run it, get an error saying that it cannot identify the version installed thus cannot patch it.
I have installed my game to my Slave E Drive instead of my ...

Good to hear from you Buck. I'm just gonna add that I don't mind a wait for the walkthroughs and reviews. You guys do for free a quality of walkthrough that many people pay good money for. It's worth a wait.

As for the delay on reviews, well for my part I don't need them as I usually use my own ...

Seconded, the sword you get for free in the swamps that the guide will help you find is superior to any forged sword you can make for yourself. Save your money for the armour and the books you need to fulfill quests.

Group style 3 will make that sequence cake. This is a good place to decide whether you focus on signs or swords. I like swords myself but a signs build is supposedly an easy button once fully leveled. You can just spam igni and kill most enemies really quick.

However I like my player characters to ...

Try hitting as few side quests to level a little while you are at it. A couple of skill points go a long way in this game. Try reading up on that article I sent you . It describes pretty well how the skills work.
