The first time I lost him, where he was stuck in a wall at the Tomb, I used the book of cheats to summon him .. but I ended up with a second Morte who started at default level with no inventory.. which i don't want to repeat

Poo. I searched the entire town area, and no Morte. When I get around to playing again, I'm keeping all the useful items on myself, and the NPCs get to be the carriers of all the bits of junk to sell.

hmm.. no suggestions? Should I just restart?
