I fixed the problem, or it fixed itself, once I left the inn in neverwinter after the meeting with 'uncle' Duncan, the druid lass joined up, and the others started to behave again!

Wierd, but glad it's sorted now!

When i enter a new area they stand by the world transition point. They will usually turn up for combat, but they take some input to get them to do anything useful.

Having no end of trouble with the companions. Didn't pick up the druid at all, and didn;t realise till later she should ahve appeared, and since the first visit to the farm at highcliffe the others are very difficult to control, and don't follow....
