I am playing Evil and just finsihed the old owl well but since my last save is missing the merchant quarter.z file I cannot open door to Axels

I can no longer travel to the Merchant Quarter, the game freezes no matter which map i try from or which char's I have with me. It never passes unpacking module. I tried cleaning the CD and moving it to another drive.

Can I reload just that location without affecting gameplay?

Or, does anyone know ...
