well i tried that, and yes it does produce good results. i quickly killed illasera, sarevok died in the melee. but yaga shura, abizagal, and sendai were all alive and very much kicking when melissan turned up.

this proved to be problematic, as while the protagonist was dealing with Sendai, the rest ...

have to admit to be having precisely the same problem.

my party contains no specialist spell casters, :
me cavalier (v good)
a theif
bard
half orc berserker
elven ranger (with ravager, nice)
and balthazar helps out

i decided to rush and kill sarevok purely out of spite, but didn't satnd a chance ...

wellm y fav tactic is to get my tanks to attack him from different directions- preferably my cavalier with the glorious carsomyr+6---- a few GWW and no more draconis

jus wondering if anyone else has had half as much fun with this combo as me

my sorc (staff of magi+robe of vecna) casts time stop, alcrity, and unleashes havoc

fancy stadning in the way of 7 cone of colds? magic resistance not a problem! very few battles can't be won with this tactic, all in one ...

it's probably something glaryingly obvious, so any suggestions would be really helpful

well it seems that the potion of insight worked!!!! but maybe it was just fluke that i got the rite combination

yeah, obviously enough being a cavalier i'm lawful good, and my rep is 19. i'm guessing the potion of insight was a joke, but i'll try anyway

i do have an evil group member though, i may try removing him

anyone else have any ideas or managed to recruit Balthazar yet?

well, my protagonist is a cavalier with a CHA of 17, the party has an excellent reputation. but i can't seem to be able to get Balthazar to join me. i have tried many combinations of speech options, but none seem to work.

has anyone yet figured out to recruit him???

no, i've done all of that. i checked banshee, but i've done everything that i'm supposed to. interstingly enough i also read the descriptions for the scepters. the air sceptor opens it's other door, and the door connecting the air ans slime labs. the slime scpepter says it will open the ice lab ...

i'm hacking and slashing my way through the second level of watcher's keep. i know what to do, i need to crank the fan on full, open the doors for the slime lab, head down to the ice lab, open the door and hack and slash my way to fortune.
